My coworker, volunteers at a homeless shelter that has over 100 kids. along with his two sons and a local school band director, they visit the shelter weekly and teach music to the kids. The kids get to play with the school band when they have parades and shows. And last year about 10 of the kids got to go to New York to play in Carnige Hall! I am sure that was an experience they will never forget. I think this is a wonderful thing they are doing. |
