| Do you know what channel your router is on? Very often, your neighbor's router may be on the same channel as yours. This will cause a great reduction in data speed to your setup. For example, I am on a Mac. Using a utility called "iStumbler", I can see what channels surrounding networks are on. My closest neighbor is on Channel 6, so I set mine to Channel 3. This caused a significant boost in speed. I checked on the website of your Belkin router. Their user manual is here: http://www.belkin.com/support/produc...&pid=F5D9230-4 If you download it, check on page 47. It will show you how to access all internal settings, such as changing from "b" to "g" mode, changing channels, etc. The channel you select should be at least 3 digits away from the closest one (eg. your neighbor's). I assume your computer is a PC running Windows XP or Vista. The same settings will apply. The only thing is that you will need a "wireless discovery tool" that allows you to see surrounding networks, so that you can choose a channel that hopefully no-one/fewer users are using. I am going out for a while, but will check in here later if you need help. Feel free to PM me if you want. Lauren
