Don't give up by any means, there are alot of good people here. its just that there are some rude ones also which you have to weed thru to find the good ones.

Why I hardly post, just read,hateful people say what they want with no punishment,nice people kicked off with no warning.Want to learn about my yorkie,get advice,notget involved with highschool behavior.Read rules before joining but different from ones posted on site,not being followed,confusing.

I was appalled also and it is this kind of thing that makes newbies afraid to even join and be part of the group. She was very nice to everyone even when she was being drilled by the select few. I couldnt believe people had the nerve to ask her how she acquired certain dogs like it was any of their business how she got them.:thumbdown

Yep and that why she didn't answer the rude comments alot of the time! My friend is a true lady staying polite even under the worst of attacks.

Maybe this is the problem. Too many of us tend to CHANGE THE CHANNEL and let it happen instead of putting our foots down and letting people know when they have crossed the line between educating and being just plain hateful.

I sure don't like to get into these kinds of conversations but I have to say something about my own observations while doing my own research for a baby. I saw Natalies website a LONG time ago and were astounded at how beautiful each and every one of her yorkies were. I was at first blown away at the size of her yorkies that are breeders as well as her prices, but I also have been there many times and each time I have become more and more a Natalie fan. Her yorkies are beautiful and you can see that they are well cared for. I myself would not want to breed such tiny yorkies, but I guess I started feeling that she must REALLY know what she is doing because her babies look so healthy. After reading her posts here I have so much more respect for her. What a kind compassionate woman she seems to be. I know all things are not as they seem, but you can read in her posts how polite and compassionate and PASSIONATE she is about her babies. Natalie, I hope you stick around because I think you have a lot to offer this board. I am so sorry to hear all of the negative comments that were posted in your sale thread. Although I wouldn't breed such tiny babies myself, I respect you for your beliefs and for your dedication to your babies.

I can tell you why no one speaks up. Because to do so, to speak against a "regular" here, will get you flamed and ostracized. Then that person that you spoke against doesn't get even a slap on the wrist around here. That's why. I've seen it happen on this board, and MANY others:( I just try to stay outta crap like that, got NO time for it!

I agree with this. I've seen it a lot too. It is a shame.

I have to say I've seen this also....I don't post as much as I used to.... sometimes it's like walking on egg shells wondering if I worded everything perfectly, I usually just delete my post and say forget it....there does seem to be an agreement that "those few" are making it hard for people to post on here....

You posted what a lot of people see going on but no one wants to come out and speak up about it. I'm sorry but I just had to speak out here and back you up when I saw your post.

I agree....I see it happening everyday on here!!! I was just on another thread and I can see it coming....this new member is getting ready to be attacked!!! She asked a simple question and someone already jumped her....baiting her ...the poor new member has no idea what is about to happen.

That is so funny because I can't tell you how many times I've sat here and typed out a response and then didn't post it.:rolleyes: There certainly are some hot buttons on this forum and when they're pushed, look out!:eek:

If it's the one I've saw I seen it coming also....I feel bad when this stuff happens.....

Personally it's doesn't bother me when someone is trying to point something out to the poster, if it's in a decent way, it's the repetition that follows that one post....there doesn't need to be numerous people pointing out the exact same thing thing first poster did....

Just as an observer it looks like the O.P. is getting ganged up on......I can only imagine what the O.P feels like.....

I would love an answer to this too! The knowledge on this board is amazing....but the one thing that just aggrevates me to no end is when someone posts ONE detail about a breeder (or themselves) and the next post is, 'oh, that's definitely a bad breeder'. It seems like there is a very narrow view of what constitutes a reputable breeder, and the rules often have nothing to do with level of care, time, commitment, and concern for the breed; and are based on someone's idea instead of facts. :thumbdown

I have not been visiting here for long, but have on several occasions considered not coming back just because of the narrowmindedness I have seen. But so far I have been able to keep reminding myself that not everyone is like this....sometimes it just seems like they dominate. And I do think that most people (even those with whose views I disagree) do have right motives.

I wish I knew the answer to this question! I also was attacked when I posted that Baby was preggo. I guess you will have those who just like to start crap for no reason. They don't care about others feelings, it's all about them!

i think it was unfair of everyone to attack her, she has beautiful dogs. i hate when people just assume things without asking..

Been lurking for months now, noticed the same thing, no one speaks up because they are afraid,don't know who the special people arebut make sure you don't say anything bad about them,afraid to say anything so we just stay out of it,thats why it keeps happening,got an email 'why don't you post?' this is it. Scared of administrations wishy washy job. Won't post again,just read the good stuff.

So true and I myself will do my best to make sure people aren't attacked and get the answers they come here for as much as I can. The breeders section is where there are alot of stong opinions and I feel if your asking the questions they deserve answers without having to feel beat up for even asking your question!

When someone sees a hateful post, why not everyone click on the triangle below the avatar and report it. Maybe if they are reported enough for saying such hurtful things they won't be allowed back. YT would be so much better off without the judgmental bashings.

I don't know you, nor do I know the breeder in question. I also didn't read any of the posts that were deleted, but I can figure what they were about.

I believe it is the known "rule" in the YT community (not agreeing or disagreeing, just making a statement ;) ) that reputable breeders breed to better the breed, not to make money. Charging $5000 for a Yorkie seems as if the breeder is making a ton of money ($13,000 to be exact). Also, the breed should be 3-7lbs (I've even seen 4-7lbs). This breeder obviously breeds for tinies. Being that it's not within the standard, this breeder is not attempting to "better the breed," hence why people get upset.

Please know I am NOT condoning bashing and being rude on a forum! I am just saying that a lot of people are very passionate about their beliefs in the standard. I'm not sure if anyone said she was a mean, bad person. She may be the sweetest lady on the face of this earth, but that doesn't mean she has the best breeding practices.

I hope you understand what I mean. I'm not trying to upset anyone. I'm just saying people believe strongly in certain regulations on breeding Yorkies.

I read the Natalie thread earlier today and thought that some - and note I said "some" of the same people "BREAKING THE RULES" are those that speak out so strongly in other instances about others breaking the rules. If someone is going to be so vocal and up on the soap box about upholding the rules of this forum then those same people should perhaps spend as much time following the rules than explaining why they aren't. My entitled opinion. I don't care if I'm popular or with the "in" crowd - especially on a forum...lol. :rolleyes: I come on here to share my love of my precious baby with others and their love of their babies and enjoy doing so very much. I will continue to do so.

I am sorry your friend was bashed. She has lovely Yorkies and I wish her the best.
