| Horrible news. I was glued to NBC this morning and was hoping for the best. My heart goes out to all the people who may have been affected by this tragedy. I must say, however, that I hope this is a wake-up call for Bush and Blair to construct an exit strategy and PULL OUT OF IRAQ.

| I keep thinking how scared the people must be that are stuck underground. Hopefully all of our members and their families across the pond are safe. This angers me so much. It's not as if the British citizens necessarily agree with their PM's actions, and yet they are the target of this violence. Terrorist are bred to have such aggression against others that it's sad. Sometimes they're just so brain-washed into thinking a certain way that they don't even necessarily know who or what they're attacking. It's frustrating for me- we can eliminate leaders in terrorist groups, but there are dozens of other members willing and able to step into their position. I'll try not to preach my opinion on our military leadership's decisions, but I think we need a larger pressence in the country in which Al Qaida is based. My prayers go out to all of those affected by this tragedy. |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I heard about the explosions this morning and was shocked that it had happened again...although nothing will hit as close to home as 9/11...it was so scary to think that these people are still destorying lifes!!! I have been watching the news all morning and they still do not know the full extent to which all that occured, I am just praying that the British stand up strong against terrorism, just as we did after 9/11!!!

| It always saddens me when I hear about the attacks. These people are cowards! No one is safe from these people and there is no way to defend against other attacks in the future. They only know hate, and human life means nothing to them.

I will just say this, I am sorry I couldnt disagree with you more, if we pull out now, they will do far worse, because they will believe they scared us, to pull out is to ask for them to come back here and do worse. These people want us wiped off the face of the earth, remember they attacked us first, we didnt ask for them to come here. If we back off now I will dare say 9-11 will seem like a picnic compared to what they will try to do

I think that it is important to remember that Iraq is not Al Queda and frankly they cannot be interchanged in the way the President of the U.S. is interchanging them and using them as synonyms for one another. Many people being killed in Iraq are innocent citizens, just like the innocent people at the WTC were killed. I think that if war is to be waged, it should be waged against those who are proven to be affiliated with Al Queda. When entering any war, an exit strategy and timeline need to be planned in advance. With this "war on terror" and Vietnam, no exit plan has been initiated. I have much respect for those serving our country and realize that they are brave and selfless, but I cannot agree with the reasoning the current administration presents on why they are behind attacking Iraq. I do not agree with all of the democracy that is being promoted throughout the world to those who do not want anythign to do with it. I don't like when people force their religion on me and I think that promoting democracy to nations that have no interest in it is just like trying to spread Christianity to Islam states; the principles are the same in my eyes.

| I am not going to get involved in the war politics. But I am going to add that I am heart broken. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that people could do things like this! It is so horrible. The sad part is, that these people are so far gone from reality there is nothing that could ever be said to them to get them to stop. And I doubt they will ever feel guilt for the lifes they take, and the families they destroy. |

I'm sorry but I think it was wrong for you to have said this. First, to characterize the entire religion of Islam as a "terrorist" activity is what has led to problems like the indefinate detainment of people at Gitmo because they are Middle Eastern. Islam is a peaceful religion, but there are a few people who take their religious zeal too far. You can't characterize 1.2 billion people on the basis of a few. Also, I don't think that it's right to automatically assume that just because there was a terrorist attack that it was based on Islamic fundamentalism. I live in OKC and the bombing here was by a couple of crazy white christians. That doesn't give me right to condemn all white people or all christians. There are some white people who are seriously pissed at the G8 for the things that we have done in relation to the environment and Africa, and those could have been the people that have done this. I'm sorry to rant, but that just infuriates me. If this gets me banned, then let it be so. I can't sit aside and watch people say things that I believe are unfounded. And Kristy, I couldn't have said it better myself!!!!!
