| Really good Christmas idea... Just wanted to share this with all of you. My BF and I have a Netflix subscription, and we love it because we don't have cable anymore, and have never had channels like HBO, but with Netflix, we can see these shows by season, as well as tons of movies and musicals. Our most recent endeavor has been watching the Carnivale show that was on HBO, it is awesome! So we bought a subscription for my parents for 2 movies at a time, unlimited number of movies, for three months. It was very affordable and I know they will like it! This is the catch, the person who uses the gift subscription has to provide billing information and if they don't cancel the membership once their gift subscription is up, they will get charged. That's why we picked only 2 movies at a time (because we subscribe to 3 at a time). That way if they forget to cancel they will be charged less than $15. Anyway, I know a lot of people are looking for holiday ideas. I bought the subscription and printed it out at home, and it took me less than 10 minutes. I love that kind of holiday shopping!

| That is a really good idea. We love Netflix too. We don't like to get caught up in series shows and wait for them every week. Like that show "24", we wanted to see it, but we didn't want to watch each week. So now we rent a whole season at a time. This is a really good show, that otherwise we would have missed. So, great idea Lauren!! Magazine subscriptions can be great too. I just got my mom Paula Deans' Magazine script for Christmas. Got one for me too Merry Christmas to ME!!!

My mom gets me a subscription to Classical Singer magazine every year for Christmas. I love getting a gift from her all year long. Those are really great ideas too. And I LOVE Paula Dean!

| Ooh I don't know what I think about that one. I'm totally grossed out by the idea of that stuff. If they show any kind of surgery, I'm out. I can't even watch ER!

| You can sign up for different types of plans, but we have three movies at a time, unlimited number of rentals, and it costs us about 18 bucks a month. The movies come in the mail already in the envelope you send them back in. If I send in a movie on Monday morning, I will have another one by Wednesday. Most major cities have a Netflix facility so they receive your rental returns pretty quick. You choose the movies you want to rent online (my list has over 200 movies on it so far) and the order in which you receive them. Sometimes my BF will go online and change the order so we get something like Spiderman when I am expecting something like the Notebook. What I like best about it is that you can get seasons of things, like the Office seasons 1-3 are available. Actually I got to preview the Muppet Show season 2 on DVD through netflix before I bought it. They send each disk of the multi disk set. They also have lots of old movies on dvd and musicals and operas. Instructional videos, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet episodes, stuff from PBS. Their selection is bigger than any other rental company in the US. We really love it.
