| Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I too live in Omaha, and was deeply saddened by yesterday's events and horrified that it could hit so close to home. I have been in the store of the mall it happened in so many times and am thankful that I was not there yesterday. My prayers are focused on the victims' families as my heart aches for the great loss.

| I hope that all our Nebraska members will check in to let us know if they are okay. I have been watching this on the news this morning and because I did not have the tv on yesterday, was unaware until just a short while ago, of this tragedy. Lori, I am happy to hear that you are okay and that your family is also. |

| I heard about this on the news. I just don't understand how someone is so depressed that he wants to kill other people before killing themselves. I am happy to hear that your family is okay. Just a couple of weeks ago there was a shooting at our mall. I think the guy shot one person and then shot himself so it wasn't half as bad as your mall.

| With so many of these terrible things happening it was just a matter of time before we found ourselves talking about our own mall and where we could/would go if something like this should happened here. This isn't a discussion ANYONE should have to have at any time of year... but Christmas Season makes it all the more reprehensible. It's so frightening to think that this could happen at any time, at any place and sadly.... it has. |

| I was horrified when I saw this tragic story on the news last night. Those poor people and families. What went wrong in that kid's head to make him do such a thing. Somewhere, somehow something has gone really wrong in our society today and it's pretty scary. These are young kids doing this horrible stuff. Why are so many of our youth so depressed and in such a state of destruction? |
