| Well Megan?? What's going on with the shelter?? Did you start there? Is this why you're not posting much anymore? If you started, fill us in on how it's going...!! |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I'm starting in the next week or two. The reason I haven't been on much is because I've been rehearsing for my school's show for 4+ hours every night. Our last show is on Sunday, so I think on Monday or Tuesday I'll go down to the shelter.

| Congrats Megan for wanting and getting to volunteer at your local shelter. I'm anxious to hear how you feel about doing that once your there. Please let us know. I volunteer at my local Humane League and It makes me feel really good being able to do that and it is such a rewarding experience. Good Luck at your school's new show. Even though I know you won't need it.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Another update! I went to the shelter today to fill out the application. You have to walk through the dog/cat room to get to the front desk. I got there and as I walked in the woman was feeding a 2 day old kitten. I filled out the papers, and she said I can start whenever I want! She doesn't do a schedule, because most of her volunteers are teenagers and she knows that we have all kinds of other things we do -- so just to come in whenever I'm available and I want to help out. I think I'll start Thursday. Walking through the hallway with the cages totally brought me back to when I got Rusty, and that made me get a little...emotional. But I held it together, and I think after getting through the initial you know...shock of it, I'll be fine. The dogs all seem really sweet. I'll let you guys know how my first day goes!

| Congratulations Megan. What a wonderful thing to do but I wouldn't expect anything less from you. Your such a caring young lady. The shelter is so very lucky to have you. I would like to do the same when I retire. I fear getting attached and taking home the sad stories in my mind and not being able to deal with them. I think your more mature than I am. You can teach me how to handle things because I really want to help also. Good luck, |

| Congratulations Megan.... It is a shock, isn't it? To see so many of God's loving creatures just pushed aside, but I know you will do well, because you have the heart and soul that is needed to help these precious little ones. My first visit was so emotional and I cried for days, but I soon realized that if everyone just takes a few hours of their week to help out ... what a difference it makes. Thank you Megan. It's a kind and loving thing you are doing |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Thank you for asking Janie! I was planning on starting yesterday, but it was really icky out and it was just me and my mom at home, so I decided to just chill with her for the evening. I have to check the schedule again, but I'm going to DEF. be starting some time next week.
