Something to keep in mind too, the prices of flights fluctuate daily. A travel agent once told me I should always buy plane tickets on Tuesdays because that's when they're cheapest (I think she said Wednesday is the 2nd cheapest day)...and I don't mean it's cheapest to FLY on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (which is also true), but that it's actually cheaper to purchase your ticket on a Tuesday or Wednesday. They especially jack the prices up over the weekends...probably because they know that's when people have the time to sit down and complete their purchase . Anyway, I've always found this to be true if you compare the changes in flight prices daily, so I wanted to pass on the tip !

I think it depends on the plane. We flew Sukoshi as carry-on on our Midwest flight to Kansas City for the holidays (my return flight is later today), and I was glad I was at the front of the plane because the ONLY bathrooms were at the back, so EVERYONE who needed to go to the bathroom walked past those farther rows. We were at the front, and only the flight attendants walked by. Sukoshi didn't make a sound, but if she had, I would rather have had the few people in the front hear her than ALL the people using the restrooms. Plus, all the walking back and forth could've agitated her .

I'd have to check my registration list to be sure, but I don't think there's been any more registrations since my last update. If there has been...it's only been 1 or 2. Now that the price doesn't go up again until April 16th, I suspect people will wait to register until closer to the next price increase. We are all victims of procrastination (myself included ), and there is no incentive to register now vs. April 15th. I will post an updated registration list with each 5 new registrations received, so if I haven't updated the list on this thread, you can assume that there are less than 5 new registrations since my previous update .

I gotta get on that! I just haven't quite made up my mind on which airlines. When I used to fly to Dallas, I usually flew "Southwest" or "NWA".. I'm sure they go to KC too. hmmm..

Southwest does not allow pets in the cabin. I am not sure about every airline... you might want to confirm before making a reservation!

For all those attending the Meetup (and for anyone that travels away from home).....
Don't forget to have an ID on your Furbutt that has your CELLPHONE number on it!!!...... If you have your HOME # on it and are not at home it really don't do you much good at all !!

I have 2 ID's on Shelby & Seymour.... (they are such small tags and won't hold much info so I bought 2), One with our home info and one with cell #'s.

That's a great idea!!

I wasn't even thinking about coming with the airfair so high...but I just found a great deal with MidWest Air. $259 from SFO to MCI (19th - 22nd). They do accept pets for $75 each way. And the trip is only 3hrs each way, compared to 7-8 on other airlines. I hope this encourages some NorCa people to come. I am going to call them about carrying 2 babies in 1 carrier, if not I will have to talk a friend into coming!!
