| I'm pretty sure I'm going to be staying until Monday Yay! I am already SO excited about this meetup! It's going to be a blast! I think I'm going to have a hard time picking out what Lacy is going to wear LOL

| I think that was the plan from when the talk of a meet-up first began. Of course, we'll have to see how the 2008 meet goes before we see if anyone is interested in putting together/attending a 2009 meet! |

Also, I know we were discussing a stroller at one point when I was trying to get some of the local museums and such to allow us in with our babies, and I was hoping I'd have better luck by telling them we'd ensure everyone had a bag or stroller. Well...since we're not going that route anymore, the strollers and bags will just be a personal choice...if you want them for shopping for instance. | |

| Lisa - I PMed you but I probably should have just posted it here so everyone could get the info: Gayla (Layla's mom) called to reserve our hotel room tonight. She also asked about staying Sunday night too but they told her that they had no available rooms on Sunday night. I've seen a lot of people say they are planning to stay sunday night as well but right now it looks like they are booked up. We're hoping someone will cancel so we can stay sunday night too. I didn't know if you knew anything about them being booked up sunday or not. I can't imagine them being booked up on a Sunday night..that's really wierd

| Lori - I asked the hotel the EXACT same thing (about their website saying the $25 is refundable), as I too think the pet fee is steep given the amount of business we're bringing them, and the response was, "The pet fee policy is for one family traveling with their pet. This is a large group with multiple pets and adjustments/costs are in place for such events." Sorry...but I tried my best through a few different arguments to get this fee reduced, and they simply would not do it because they are going to be having so many rooms with pets in them, and it keeps coming back to the sanitation issue. I agree with you 100%, but given that no other hotel (and believe me, I called them ALL) would even allow us at all, we didn't have much choice. And my contact at this hotel is very nice and a dog-lover himself, so I am happy with them so far (other than the pet fee). He did deeply discount the price of the meeting room for us for Saturday (which is ultimately built into the registration fees), so he did save us some money along the way - believe it or not. I do hope you will still join us! |

| Lisa... You're scaring me.... Your attention to detail and how you write and explain everything in such simple terms... Glad you don't work for the IRS! Seriously, I have no clue how you and the committee is pulling it all together! But you guys are doing a marvelous job! Thank you sooooooo MUCH!

I was thinking tonight, if I went... I'd have one Yorkie, my camera, my laptop.. but only allowed two carry-on and the Yorkie carrier counts as one... What to do??? My camera won't fit in my laptop bag... don't want to check either the puter or the camera... Hmmm......

| Donating YT 11K Club Member | I reeeeeeeaaally wanna go and i was hoping to take all 3 of my babies with me but i don't think that's possible. I think i am only going to take the 2 girls with me for several reasons. 1. Teddy HATES being enclosed in carriers so i know he will do horrible on the plane and 2. on the plane me and my bf can only take one dog each with us as our carryon so he will have one girl and ill have the other and both girls do great in carriers. oh and 3. if it's $50 for 2 dogs at the hotel i am not going to pay another $50 just for one more dog. I feel bad I guess Teddy will just stay with my mom if we do go. Also i plan on buying a stroller asap cause i just know it will come in handy and will take the carriers as well. I hope we can go! BTW is anyone from ny/nj area going???
