Gayla (Layla's mom) called to reserve our hotel room tonight. She also asked about staying Sunday night too but they told her that they had no available rooms on Sunday night. Did Gayla make sure they knew she was with the YorkieTalk meet-up when trying to make her reservation? According to my contract with the hotel, they have 40 rooms set aside for us for Thursday night (in case anyone comes into town early), and 100 rooms on both Friday and Saturday night. The hotel is supposed to be monitoring these numbers internally and increasing/decreasing them according to how many people are making reservations under our group. I see that he has NOT set aside any rooms for Sunday, which is my oversight. Since he said we would get the $139 rate for the longer dates, I didn't figure it would be a problem to get a ROOM! And like you said...weird on a Sunday night especially. I will contact the hotel tomorrow to see what they can do for us. Hopefully it's not too late to pull some rooms aside for us for Sunday night. I think they normally have some rooms "set aside" - even when they tell people they are all booked. I'll let you know what I can work out.
