We went with a hotel that accomodated most of the group and there was party at one of the huge suites all night long. Staying in the same hotel as everyone else is highly recommended because then you have the convenience of not worrying about what time the party will end . . . . especially if there will be drinking . . .Imagine if it was already 2:00am and you are just too darn tired after all the partying but have to drive back to your hotel as supposed to just walking up to your room . . sometimes the convenience is worth paying extra . . .

If anyone has an extra vinyl shower curtain laying around, we could bring a few of those, and put those down on the floor under the x-pens if we link them together in the hotel. That way, if there are any accidents, they are easily cleaned up Just an idea!

It's a 12 hour drive from where I am in SE Michigan. I'm planning on driving and hoping to carpool with a few other YTers to share the load. I'm thinking of renting a van wo we have plenty of space for us, furkid carseats and luggage. If 3 or 4 of us pooled together, this is very doable. Perhaps even leaving Thursday and staying someplace inexpensive to break up the drive and same thing on the say home Sunday.

The route would go through Ohio/Indiana (I75S to I69 to I70W) to right around Indianapolis before heading onto Missouri. I think Cyndi will drive with me, but given a large regular mini van size, we could still take a few more................

12 hour drive is very long, my max is only 4 hours . . but with the right company, I can drive all day long and won't feel tired you guys will have sooo much fun!

I haven't flown them since I moved to CA (used to fly them all the time for work), but that's who we're flying home on for Christmas here in a couple weeks since they've started coming out to Los Angeles now. This will be Sukoshi's first time flying . I hope she does ok !!! The last time I flew Midwest, it was for a very early morning flight - like 6:30 am - none of their yummy chocolate chip cookies, but they did serve us a delicious pastry from I believe somewhere local & I think one other time in the morning they served a great little muffin. I love Midwest - my favorite airline - they really know how to take care of folks

I'm wondering about when we are in the convention/dining hall -- is this on the first floor?? And by any chance is there a door in this room that goes directly outside or one very nearby?? Just thinking that would be handy so you don't feel like you're missing everything.

I sure hope there are no dogs marking in the halls as was mentioned earlier -- as that tends, to lead to every male thinking they need to do so.

Guess we better pack some Nature's Miracle -- or maybe we could get them for a vendor

Hmmmm...not sure how close the door will be . Hopefully not far, as I see your point about missing something ! Maybe we'll just take all the babies for a group potty break before dinner so they can all hold it through the meal !

I'm kind-of bummed about it, but everything I've seen indicates the cost will be around $4000, so we would need LOTS of people to make it affordable, so on to Plan B!!!
