| camera question I don't know if this is the correct section to post this in but I think it is a good idea to ask you all (because you post such great pics) which digital camera is the best to buy. There are so many out there by so many makers that my head is spinning. I would be using it primarily for pics to post on the net, etc. and videos. Not looking to spend a thousand. I used to have a 35mm but know that is all changed....what I mean is I have some knowledge of taking pics but not a lot so what is a good camera in what price range. Anyone? Tina

| Hope this helps..... http://www.steves-digicams.com/best_cameras.html Since you're familiar with 35mm, I think you'll be happiest with one of the digital SLRs. Last edited by MrYorkiecrazy; 11-30-2007 at 06:29 PM. |

| I went with a casio exilim EX-Z77. My mom has a exilim (different model) and I was amazed at how fast you can take multiple shots. It also has a upload to youtube feature - although the software for that doesn't seem to work with my macbook...but its easy enough to upload to youtube anyway. http://exilim.casio.com/browse_camer...m_zoom/EX-Z77/ Cnet said the picture quality is bad...but I think its great. http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-came...tag=prod.txt.3 |

I also saw you ask about Kodak, I had a Kodak once, and I wasn't crazy about it. But, they could have gotten better! Supposedly the best digital camera around is a Canon, but my sister has one and I think my Sony takes better pics! And $280 is way too much for a Kodak! They have them so much cheaper at Walmart. Here's the link to the camera I have (although it shaped differently). http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...le62454-rLink4 And here's the link to all Walmart's cameras: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catal...PageCatId=3944

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Mine is an Olympus brand...it take good pictures. What I especially looked for when buying this one besides good picture quality was the large picture window (on the back) to see better what I was taking a picture of. Alot of them are really small and too hard for these old eyes to see clearly. May not be important to you, but in any case, it's a nice feature.

| My Kodak EasyShare C340 takes pretty great pictures and I really like the picture printer that came with it. My daughter has the Sony which is great also. |

| The new Kodak comes with different settings on the top for Portraits, Sports, Landscapes, etc. I have had it for two years but my daughter says her Sony is better. |

| The one major thing that I wasn't crazy about with my Kodak, is that it took regular AAA batteries. I KID YOU NOT...I couldn't use the screen I had to look through the viewfinder b/c the camera went dead in about 2 minutes. But, looking through the viewfinder wasn't any better....the camera went dead in about 7 minutes! I even purchased the AAA Kodak rechargeables, and it was the same.
