| Good News on my Grandson! Joran went to the doctor today and he does not have that bone infection that the doctor was afraid of! This has been the longest week, waiting for that test to come back and also, I was so scared he had cancer, because this lump is hard like a bone and doesn't move. The doctor hadn't said anything to my daughter about cancer, but it turns out he was concerned also, and did a test that, if it was cancer, would have been above a 10, and Joran's was a 4. Believe me, I'm thanking the good Lord! They've now diagnosed it as a cyst and he has an appointment with a surgeon on Friday for a consultation and then will hopefully do surgery quickly, so he can have this all behind him and eventually get back to school! He has to lay on his tummy most the time to lessen the pain, so I'll be so glad when he can get back to the norm! This bump is in that tailbone area and about the size of half a golf ball when I last felt it...but Joran says it's gotten bigger. Thanks everyone for your prayers! I feel like I've had a huge weight lifted off my shoulders! *Whew*

| Hey I had one of those! They are very common! Pylonidal (sp?) cyst on the tailbone... very VERY painful. I did not need surgery thank god, but I did have to have it lanced and that was extremely painful and every now and then it 'acts up'. Surgery is very common though, and it should be gone for life now! Oh I remember the pain though. I could not sit or laydown on my back! I cried all the time until I finally went to the docs! Your poor grandson... Im sooo glad that hes getting it taken care of! Tell him in the meantime a warm bath for awhile softens it and makes the pain a little more tolerable. Good Luck to him
