| Maybe I'm a little paranoid... Something has been bothering me for awhile now and I just needed to talk to someone about it....I know you guys wont be too rough on me... So I started a new job about a month ago - the people are really nice, the job is easy and the pay isnt bad. But from the moment I started the owner has been giving me really weird looks. At first I thought it was just cause I was new and everything but Ive been there a month already and he still does it. He NEVER says a word to me - but he'll talk to other people - he just stares. If I make eye contact wth him and smile or say hello - I get nothing back... But he talks to other people... Then today he calls the manager into his office and comes out really fast and leaves. Then the manager comes to me and says that he said I should leave early. It annoyed me for a couple of reasons... One - I was scheduled to leave less than 30 mins from then - so it was like what the hell. Second why single ME out? There were like 4 other people there doing nothing. Then he didnt even have the respect or decency to tell me himself.... Am I just being paranoid here??? Or is this a weird situation? |

| I't's a weird situation, when you go back on Monday see if you can speak with your manger to sort out the situation.

| I'd feel a little creeped out too. That just sounds odd. I'd talk to your manager the first chance you get and just ask outright what is going on. Good luck!

| What a weirdo!!! Can you talk to the manager and see what is going on??? I mean, it probably wouldn't help since it is the owner that is doing it...but maybe you can ask if there is something you are not doing right or whatever......

| You should bring this to the managers attention, In addition see If the manager can tell you a bit about your job performance so far...(Take Notes) Bring everything to the table and If her outcome sounds good then dont worry about him, He might be just a weird one, Dont let him stress you out!!! Good Luck & Hope all goes well!!!

| So I spoke with my maager again....and she basically told me that there was nothing she could do about it. It has nothing to do with my performance - its just him....it really makes me feel uncomfortable - its like hes checking me out or something...I feel like hes stalking me with my eyes - is that weird??? I mean this is just a part time job until I find the right full time job for me - but still I have to work there and hes ALWAYS there.....I dunno what to do - I guess just ignore him? |

| Wow, that sounds like a difficult situation. Did you ask the manager if she at least has an opinion? I think you just need to think of it as you did when the dorky guy in high school had a crush on you and kept staring at you. Just ignore him and do your work. His infatuation should ease off with time. Also make sure you are with other people when you leave. Don't let him catch you alone just in case. No need to give him an opening for asking you out. |

| what kind of work are you doing? Is it retail? I mean that could get slow and he may want to let you leave early, as long as you still get paid ... go for it.. Ignore his weird looks .... just cause you are paranoid, doe not mean people are not after you... ***smile***
