Hey V, hope your job is still going great. I am sure your girls have somewhat adapted to being on their own for a few hours each day. I work part-time and dread the thought of leaving my little girl home alone. So my sister puppy sits on the days I have to work. It is a real treat for both. And of course people think I am nuts.

NAAAW , i dont think you are nuts, mine are never left alone i take them to my friends house and she watches them My kids think i am nuts also

Thank you guys !!! This thread is kind of old but I'll update it - I WISH I had a sitter ! I really do - The girls pout like there's no tommorrow when I leave, and throw a parade when I come home but in general they're doing pretty good - I have a camp all set up for them and swear they lay there listening to every single car that drives by my house poor babies !!! They're SO tired when I get home from work but then - so am I - we crash pretty early

I LOVE where I'm working !! & I think they're happy with me too - Right now I do 7 hour work-days cause the commute is ONE hour each way & I can't leave the girls alone that long ....but - (I may jinx myself here).....I THINK I found an nice little SAFE apartment and am waiting on approval ....the best thing is - it's FOUR minutes from work ~

In the 4 months since my husbands death ...after falling apart and thinking I couldn't sink any further down emotionally....I'm coming back to reality and moving forward. I miss him more than I can say but know he's in a better place.

The hurdle now is moving and doing it alone.... but I WILL GET IT DONE. I've had to sell so many of my things and watching pieces of my life walk out the door with strangers (and a few friends) was really hard, but had to be done.

a big thanks to Jamie (yorkiecrazy) and Linda (Fufu Fashions) who have helped in so many ways here in Houston - LOVE You guys !!!

and to the Rest of you who were so supportive ...I can't thank you all enough. I still can't believe how great you all are and wish I could repay all you've done for the girls and I.......

but I wanted to add - ANYONE who is dealing with terminal illness please feel free to write me if you need to talk. It takes a long time to process your feelings and I know first hand now how hard it is to lose someone even when you know they're sick....it's just awful & you'll never be the same

I'm here if anyone needs to talk - just like my friends were there for me when I needed to talk or cry. I'll never forget how great you yorkie people are - never.

You'll be okay V. Your personality wouldn't let you do otherwise. Keeping my fingers crossed on the apartment, wahoo!!! I have to move on the 8th myself and I have to paint my old apartment back to white or they want $350 to do it themselves (crooks), my friend was going to help me but I think he forgot because he mentioned going to Canada on the 5th) so it looks like I'm on my own too. I'm feeling ya.

Sheesh !! I bet your apartment looks WAY better with YOUR paint job - I LOVE to paint and if I could I'd help you -

and no - my oldest son is moving himself and my youngest has obligations - he just started a new job and is way too far to come help me - so it's just me and the girlies ! BUT - I have a brother that I can bribe him with beer and should be ok....

YAY!!! Villette this is the best thread I have Ever read!! I am so happy for you that the pieces are falling into the right places. A commute of 4 minutes to/from work is a very sweet thing nowadays... I will keep my fingers crossed for you, don't forget to update us when you can

congratulations to you. your girls will get used to you being away,and when you come home they will go bongers.

moving close to the job is a splendid idea. a short commute is a blessing. you wouldn't be so tired when you get home.
