Hi V! I'm so glad to see your post. Not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about you and prayed that God would give you peace and help you deal with all of the troubles you have had.

The new job sounds great! Congratulations on landing it! I have been commuting for 1 hour each way for 17 years now and the time in the care gives me a chance to gear up for the day and wind down from it as well. We have finally decide to move closer to work this year. One way of dealing with the drive is to get books on CD or tape from the library. If you are enjoying the listening the time flies by!

Good luck and I hope to see you posting more now!

Awww V!!!! HUGE, HUGE, HUGE congrats on your new job!!! The girls will be just fine and will have lots and lots of kisses when you get home from a long day! You are just gonna do great! Sometimes new chapters are hard but you are strong and you are just gonna do great!!!

And I know all about Houston rush hours!

I lived there back in the early '80's and I went in really early in the morning and it took maybe 30 minutes on the bus...but getting home took over 2 hours!

That is SUCH great news, V!! Congratulations! Keep in mind, when you're ready to move, put out a request and I bet there will be a few of us there to help! I've gotten really good at moving from city to city, thanks to my best friend's wandering ways. I'd be more than happy to help if at all possible! Again, CONGRATS!!

Thank you so much for the encouragement - I'm excited and a little nervous at the same time - this is such a big change but I know a good one.

The house has so many memories and frankly - I can't afford it - but adjusting to apartment living is going to be a biggie. I have time to really look and find a safe place but I still have a long way to go before everything is settled and done

but thank you all - I AM proud of this. After being away from fulltime work for 6 years I was really questioning myself.

Angie - you're too sweet girl with the offer - I'm downsizing so much I hope by the time I move it won't be too bad - it's def alot of work going from a 3 bedroom house with a FULL garage to a little one bedroom apartment ...
