Ok girlies.....I just read this entire thread I am going to open another window and go to the QVC website and see what I have been missing!! ;) |
has anyone bought the startup eye makeup kit? What do think? |

For the person who asked about the starter eye makeup kit - I'm not sure what that is, but I have a bazillion eye shadows and I love almost all of them. Do get the bisque and DO use it under the eye shadow, it really makes a big difference. Don't be scared of the shimmer in the eye shadow - I'm a 56 year old g'ma and I wear them all the time, and they don't look silly on me at all. My 85 year old mom wears them too. You just have to be sure to use a light touch and not overdo. BUT if you want a dramatic effect, then GO FOR IT! One of my favorite eye shadows is 1980 - YUM! Bare Minerals makeup is the BEST! |
Thanks :) I'm going to be getting that next payday woohoo! :) |

I have to give the bare minerals a thumbs up. I have been using it for a few months now thanks to a friend sharing them with me while we were bunking together for a few days...she gave me some starter products and I really liked them and have been using ever since. I use the medium beige foundation and the mineral veil is the finishing touch. I always felt I had to use my fingers to apply foundation but with the bare minerals they glide on with a natural brush. I was skeptical about how the coverage would be at first, but once I tried it I was pleased. I will use the foundation with a different light weight powder sometimes. I like them best when it's warm outside because they feel better and are a "lightweight" way to have some makeup on while doing out door activities, and not feeling like a "base face" in the sun. I haven't used the lips or eye products yet so I can't give any reviews on them...but can say that they look great on my friend. |
Is there a difference between Bare Minerals and Bare Essentials?? Is it the same thing or is one better than the other? |

On another note, I got the gold collection (comes in a red snakeskin box).. it comes with mineral veil, gossamer, a blush, 2 shadows and a liner shadow and also 3 brushes. My grandmother bought it off QVC.. anyone else have it? I;ve used it the past 3 days and I love it! I highly recommend trying it. I'll get the actual name of it when I get home :) |

The only thing I don't like about ordering online is, I wasn't really sure on the "color" I should get. I went with the beige/medium  I hope it works for me. :animal-pa |

I'm glad to see this thread! I've been wanting to try it, but I thought it looked too difficult to apply. I see today that QVC has a beauty show on at 11am PT. I have no idea what color I would need though. I currently use Ivory Bisque from Clinique. |
I went to JCPenny website and that really is a good buy and no shipping charge. There is another product I got as a gift this Christmas that I just love not from Bare Essentials but you can get it from QVC and JCPenny. Amazing Grace Body Lotion http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...dPaginate=true Now I know why they say never get a store credit card and just use your visa or master card......Pennys is 21+% EEEEEK |

I've been using BE forever and read on another thread about the Loreal verson so I went out and got some this weekend and I'm a hard sell, cuz I LOVE BE, but you know, the Loreal one isn't too bad. I'm going to give it a shot. So far its pretty ok! And for around only $9, its way less expensive. So I'm going to keep using it and see how it goes. But after 2 uses so far I like it! Just thought I'd share! |

I just bought my first set too. I had them put some one me at the spa and I really liked it. so I am anxious to start using it at home. I am glad to hear that so many of you love it!! because it is not cheap LOL |
I'm going to Ulta next week and give it a try. I don't know what shade to get so thought in person they would help me. |
I stopped by Ulta to get some hair products today. When I walked in there was a big Bare Minerals display right by the front door. I stopped to look at it and saw the Prime Time foundation prep. I remember on YT someone saying it was really nice so I bought a bottle. OMG! It is FABULOUS! It makes my face feel like spun silk! I really love it. If you haven't tried it, DO! It is GREAT! |

I don't know about wearing it under or over the rever upper??? It says that it is to go under your foundation, so I guess it would be the last thing to go on before foundation..... So I would rev up first, then prime time, then foundation, I guess....... |
