OMG I love BE!! While I was in Cali, Kat did my face and it looked amazing!!! Like porcelain!! I'm going to go (either this week or next week) to have my colors done and then I'll know exactly what to buy!

Can anyone recommend a REALLY LIGHT facial cream to wear under the make-up?

They also have one but I can't remember what its called! I used it and its really light. They sell it on QVC. In a white bottle with a black cap...ARGH!!! I'm sorry I can't remember the name!!

BE is all I have used for YEARS. I'm........well I'm something, and people think I'm WAY younger than I am. Good genes but also good skin care. :thumbup:

I just use Olay for sensitive skin from cvs, it works great and has 15 spf!

Well, I don't think everything works for everyone, so it may not work for you. However, there are different ways to apply BE, so maybe you needed to try something different. I apply it with a sponge, rather than the brush. It goes on faster, it covers my larger pores better, and I think it looks better on me than applied with a brush. My daughter on the other hand, uses the brush and it looks spectacular on her.

Also, I think that Warmth is what makes it look so outstanding on me. When I just put on the foundation, it looks good, but when I brush on warmth (yes, I use the brush for warmth), I think it looks spectacular!

Hmm..I never thought of that..maybe I should apply it with a sponge? I love the warmth, and the veil, but I just dont like the way the foundation looks on my face. It makes my pores look bigger and it looks really caked on..and I always seem to break out when I wear it..

If you break out when you wear it, then you are probably allergic to something in it. If you decide to try it again however, the sponge will help to minimize the look of your pores.

I don't know if I'm different but I start w/ the tinted mineral veil as a base giving me a smooth canvas to start w/ and then I use
1. the bisque and well rested
2. the foundation
3. the blush
4. the radiance (varies on mood)
5. eye colors
6. the feather light mineral veil
7. sometimes the gossomer for my declote and shoulders

Bare Vitamins/Skin Rever Upper by Bare Escentuals is wonderful. It is very light and provides the perfect base for the minerals.

I'm not completely sold on it. I am using it at the moment just because i shelled out the money for it. I like the look it gives you overall, but I feel like 30 minutes after I put it on my face stays the same, but all my pimples pop back out again (even with the bisque concealer stuff)

I have not tried any mineral makeup but recently started looking into the bare minerals line on sephora....my dermatologist also carries mineral makeup called glominerals, has anyone ever used this line or know anyone that has and what reviews if any do you have on it??

I have not used them but they contain preservatives which is why I prefer the Bare Minerals.

Bare Minerals ROCK! I have been using them since my Kate was in Kindergarden and she is dating now!

Every chance I get to do someones face I do! I just love the flawless finish it gives, and the look of total amazement people give when I'm done! if it paid better I'd be a rep for their Co.! ha ha ha

My adviec.... BUY EVERY SPECIAL EDITION KIT that comes out!!!! even if you have some of the contents... its worth it for the eyeshados and the brushes!!!! theit brushes are PRICY! buy wirth their weifgt in Gold x10!


I just can't say enough about that look that only BE gives!

But watch out... me without any make up is a scary thought! LOL

the top pix are w/ BE, the middle are 1/2 BE 1/2 old makeup and the ones in 2005 and 2004 are all old makeup.

I started wearing BE in May. I actually am allergic/sensitive to it BUT I wear it anyways because I have never had anything take the red out of my skin like it does.

I use this too and LOVE it. I started using it because Marcia Cross said she used it. She looks flawless. Then I heard Rod Stewart say he uses Oil of Olay. That guy looks Sooooo good for his age and he can afford to buy anything.

Yea i started using it cause i saw a special on t.v. where they were comparing very expensive products and drug store products and they said Olay was the best one, and the same as the expensive ones and i have sensitive skin, it makes my skin soft and not red at all so i love it too!:)

I used this before a loong time ago, so i don't remember how it goes on..

but is this the one tha gives you the glowing kind of shine? or is that something else?

i want something that'll kind alook glimmery.. :)

I think it does, atleast mine does. Well the bronzer gives you a little glow and the mineral veil. I also like kind of a glow, i use bronzer and blushes from Cargo, they are great!

I have been using this make-up for almost 3 years and I am pleased with it. I also really like the lotion that was mentioned ("Skin Rev-ver Upper").

i'm getting the lotion for christmas. do you guys use is as a moisturizer and then put on your BE or do you use both your regular moisturizer and then the rev-er upper?

Well today i just used my reg. moisturizer and then the BE but it says to put it under your moisturizer, so i guess you can do that..

I'm not sure what Cargo is - but Bare Minerals makes an all over, after makeup shimmer, called Clear Radiance. It doesn't add much color but it gives a radiant shimmer to the skin. It is beautiful!

Yes Cargo is a different brand. They have the best bronzers. I think so:)
