| trying to identify a dog breed I saw the cutes dog yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what breed she was. She was with an elderly man in the basket of his wheelchair scooter. I think the man had had a stroke and he could not talk, only grunt so he couldn't tell. She had hair similar to a pappion(sp?) but it was redish like a pomeranian. She was around 5 pounds and she looked like the cutest little fox. I just loved her! Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about.

| Well Sidda sure is a cutie but it definitely wasn't a chi. Caren, I saw her outside of Winn Dixie- I think his wife must have been inside shopping.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'd guess chihuahua mix, but not sure what with. Almost has a terrier look to it. Cairn? Scottie? The long-haired chi's I've seen have smoother coats. (Edit: Duh, I was identifying the already identified chi picture) After looking at papillons and poms, though, I'd definitely guess long-haired chi

What IS funny though is after a bath and using the hair dryer on her she looks like one of those cartoon animals coming out of the dryer. You kind of expect her to start floating away - lol

| I definitely know it wasn't a chi. Maybe it was a mix- a pappion/pom maybe. I don't know but I swear I kept thinking I had seen the breed before and should know what is was. I was so cute. It's probably a good thing I don't know- I'd just end up wantin one and I don't think I could get my husband to go along with a 3rd dog and Sugar would have a breakdown.

| Okay, no one can accuse me of not being obsessive! I guess it must have been a mix because I can't find a breed that looks right. It didn't look like a terrier and AKC toy breeds don't show one that looks like her. This is the closest I could come; 1. her color 2. here face 3. her coat I guess she looked like an off colored, undersized papillon with small ears. She was so cute and super sweet and well behaved.

| I think the man had had a stroke or something because he could only grunt. He rode his scooter (or whatever they're called) right at me and stopped and I asked him if she was friendly and he kind of grunted for me to pet her. She was so precious and was sitting up in her basket so proud. She really looked like a sassy little cartoon fox. I'm glad it's probably a mix so I don't obsess about hunting one down. Can you imagine Sugar if I brought a new dog in the house.
