Christmas shopping

Who do you usually shop with? Hubby and I usually shop together but my mom asked me to shop with her for hubby's gifts and various family members gifts. I really want to because rarely does my mom want to get out and I never have time to spend with her like I use to and I miss that. I told hubby one day next week my mom and I are going shopping and he got all upset. He said he wanted to go. This isn't our first Christmas together but it is for our son so I told him I wasn't going to buy Chase's gifts that day I was going to wait for him, because I know it is special to him too this year. I am simply just buying for hubby, my brother, my dad, and his parents. He just said oh, I figured we would do it in one day. Then I told him I was looking forward to shopping with mom and it is kinda like a girls day out, which mom and I NEVER get. I never go out with friends or anything, maybe twice a year I go shopping with a friend. Anyways, after I said I was excited he started crying. Mind you, hubby is extremely sensitive. Thing is anytime I want to go out by myself or with someone other than him he whines and cries. I can't take it anymore!!!! Last month I was having a rough day and I asked if Tilly and I could go to Petsmart so I could take a break and he and my son ended up going too because he whined. What is a nice way of saying, I love you but I need some time to myself as well.

maybe you could include him maybe he likes spending time with your mom too,my husband was like that also then he finally told me he enjoys being around my mother also ,he was always doing things for here cause she was always sick and i had to take her grocery shopping and to doctors appt.he was always there with me .to help her out when she needed it .

Simply like that: I love you but I need some time to myself sometimes. Just tell him that sometimes for a relationship to work and not lose it's spark each person in it needs to do things on their own or with other people, they need time away from each other so when you finally do see each other it's a great feeling. He sounds like a great guy though, in most cases it's the other way around, where the girl wants to spend more time with the guy, etc. My bf and i also like to do things together but with shopping sometimes i just like to go by myself actually and no one else cause i like to take my time, and i don't like to be rushed lol So i think i am going xmas shopping alone or with him if he has the patience, which for the most part he does. He just waits for me in the game store or something

It doesn't hurt to tell him that you need time to yourself....everyone, including him, needs their own time every now and then. I think he would understand that.

My DH never shops with us...at first, we missed it because we use to all 3 go shopping, have dinner, etc....now, we (daughter and I) enjoy our bonding time together.
