Saw the neurologist today

This one says it IS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. So far I've been dx CFS, not CFS but they didn't know what, and now CFS again.

According to him CFS CAN cause fevers and severe pain like I've been having if it is severe enough.

So now I'm on B-12 shots. Twice a month. I told him I already took B-12 complex pills. He said they aren't as good as the shots.

I also stopped by the herb shop to pick up some tea tree oil (its great for cleaning/disinfecting) and was telling Mr. Demi what was going on. He told me about something called "Alimentary Intestinal Toxemia". It can also cause a lot of the symptoms I have. The cure for this is *drum roll please* COLON CLEANSING!

SO....I am going to try the B-12 shots and be really good and follow all the doctor's orders. If it isn't helping and I still feel crappy then I am going to start seeing the holistic healer. I figure I won't have anything to lose. Doesn't 8 sessions of colon cleansing and a free liver flush sound like fun?

I will. I know that the B-12 complex pills I've been taking to NOT help. He also suggested I increase my exercise. How the heck am I supposed to do that if I can barely making from the bedroom to the living room some days?

I have heard colon cleansing is very good for you. I havent did it though. KathrynV had a real good thread about it on here though. I thought it was titled Master cleansing

I hear you about the exercise!!!!! Whenever I do anything (like cut the grass...on a RIDING lawn mower, trim some shrubs, spray for weeds, etc.) I pay for it SO BAD the next day!!!!!!!

It's amazing how much getting some exercise will help give you energy instead of decreasing it. It also improves your psyche by increasing endorphins and if you actually did enough, improve your body image. I'm sure the colon cleansing won't hurt either. There are entire spas devoted to it, and I know a lot of people who do it religiously; at least a few times a year.

I know that CF is a lot like Fybromyalgia (which I was diagnosed with 15 years ago). Exercise is a must even if you have to drag yourself out of bed for it. You absolutely must keep the muscles limber. Although I teach yoga and pilates regularly, there are days my body aches terribly. But, I have found if I take time off the pain is even worse when I'm not exercising.

I would start with some gentle stretches and then ease yourself into something like Tai Chi. Hope you feel better soon.

I mentioned it to them a few times, last doctor I saw said no (of course he said no to everything).

My thyroid levels were "only slightly elevated". I have to have them checked again in 6 months.

I hope you feel better with trying the B12 shots. It is so frustrating to have pain and illness with no explanation as to why. I hope you find relief this time!
