| Virginia Puppy Mill I'm so upset, on the news this afternoon I heard that of the approx 1000 dogs from this Hillsville, Va puppy mill the owner is being allowed to keep 200 yorkies. I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me at all. Can someone please explain to me why he would be allowed to keep these, is there something in the law that makes it okay to keep yorkies in this hell but not other breeds? I'm sorry I just don't understand why they allowed him to keep any of the dogs. |

| I tried to post about this but for some reason it never showed up. Maybe I did it wrong, I've never tried to start a thread before. I didn't realize he was able to keep 200 yorkies! The APS of Durham took in 30 of the dogs. I'm so glad they got most of them out. I agree that he shouldn't be able to keep any of them! The Humane Society has a video of the mill, the conditions were horrible! I hope they find homes for all of them. |

It says he was licensed to keep 500, why would any county allow anyone to have that many dogs. | |

| Well if you look at the pictures taken at his place & of the video, the most I can say for this man, is that it looked extremely clean - with a 1,080 dogs that says something. But this is still nuts, even he gets to keep 200 - how long before he is back to 500 or even a 1,000?? Glad he has lost a lot of his revenue. Glad there will be fewer pups at any pet store!
