It's me. Well, me and my wife and my Yorkies. We had a house meeting and took a vote: 4-0. We want Rusty.

As with the rest of you, it broke my heart to see Megan and her family go through what they're going through. Megan has been my best online buddy for 2 1/2 years. (And Teri was in my top 100, lol, before she pulled a disappearing act.)

I know Megan trusts me about as well as you can trust anybody you meet online, and I promised her that I'd give Rusty a great life. I've been looking at larger rescues here for a while now, so this fell into my lap at the perfect time.

Our only concern is the long travel time, but people do it all the time. One long day seems like a small price to pay for a perfect fit. And that's what this is. I can't wait to introduce Eddie and Jack to their new big brother who happens to get along great with Yorkies.
Wow Mike! That's amazing!!! Megan will sleep easier knowing her Rusty is safe and happy with you, your wife, and the yorkies.

Maddie will have a long day as well. It's about a ten hour drive back to TN, but we are trying to work it out to stay at a friend's house on the way back so that we can break it up for the little ones. (Marty's coming so that he can meet Maddie too!) My husband and I were thinking along the same lines though...one day in the car is a small price to pay to make sure she has a good home and that Megan and her family can know she's safe and happy.

So now there's even more reason for Megan and Teri to stick around--they can see pics of both Maddie AND Rusty!!

What FANTASTIC news! I am so happy for everyone I could just weep tears of joy. Rusty has a new home!!!!!

Congratulations to everyone! It seems like when a YT member has a need there is another waiting to fill it.

I think when Teri and Megan came here to get Maddie it was about 6 hours, So about 1/2 way.. When are you going up?

She's being spayed on Nov. 6th so the plan is that following weekend. We're going to leave here on the 9th. Still have to work out a few details with Megan's family, but that's where it stands right now.

I didn't tell a soul. Once I started guessing Megan pmed me with the wonderful news No pictures of him guys that would embarrass him.

Mike I knew you were a great guy but never quite thought of you as an angel. I take that back when I remember all you did for Jack. When Megan said she was thrilled I can see why and this has really made every thing turn out so well for her and the family. When I said I could see him with an old man I didn't mean you LOL haha (just had to add that) You're the best Mike and these are the things that we do for each other make life so rewarding and wonderful!!

I am soooooooooo happy you are able to take maddie!!! she will have such a great home with you!!!

I hope you can come to the meetup we are trying to have for us southerners :) I would love to meet you...and your fur-family (and hubby too LOL)

I have been following this thread, but havent posted before, Megan, first off, i want to tell you, how sorry i am that you, and your family are having to do this, i can not imagine what you are going through right now, all i know is, that your are a wonderful young lady, for holding up, and staying strong as you are. My heart goes out to you, and my prayers are with you, and your family.

Maddie, is going to the most wonderful parents you could ever dream of, i know Angiedoogles very very well, and i can assure you, that Maddie is going to be one very spoiled little girl, and believe me, you will get to see many, many pics, and video's.
She is going to have a wonderful life.

Alaskayorkie (Mike) well... what can i say - to me he has been a hero ever since he adopted Jack, and did for him what he did, he has a huge heart, and i know how spoiled hes boys are. I just know for sure, Rusty is going to be a very happy boy, and will have a great life with Mike, and hes family.


Hugs to you Megan, and all the best! I do hope that you will visit YT when you can ;)

Mike, bless you and your wife for stepping up to the plate and
giving Megan's beloved Rusty a wonderful home with two brother's
also. What a wonderful piece of news to read this morning.
Megan sweety you can now move with a happy heart. All your
pets have been placed where you will be able to constantly be in
touch if you need to be.

Eddie and Jack you now have protection from that bad old Moose:D

Hey Mikey!!! That is the greatest news ever! Rusty will love it at your house! And Jack and Eddie will love having him around! Here's to many more happy trails to Rusty in the wonderful land they call Alaska!!! :D Can't wait to see pics of his homecoming and hear how he settles in up there! October 29 should from now on be known as Alaskayorkie Day...cause he saved the day for Megan, Rusty and the whole family!!! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

I was wishing we could continue on with what this thread is about. Megan, her pets (two cats still need homes, I think) and the wonderful people who adopted her dogs.
