I think Ive cried thru this entire thread praying for the rainbow at the end where all of your babies have found new homes! Now just waiting to find out the who on Rusty!


Megan, you are an incredible young woman. As I have said before, I can only pray my nieces are half the young woman that you are. I know this must be very hard on you and hate that you have to go through it. Your mother is very lucky to have you.

I hope that you continue to visit us on YT-- and keep us updated on your school and talk HSM3 ;) with us when it comes out!

It's me. Well, me and my wife and my Yorkies. We had a house meeting and took a vote: 4-0. We want Rusty.

As with the rest of you, it broke my heart to see Megan and her family go through what they're going through. Megan has been my best online buddy for 2 1/2 years. (And Teri was in my top 100, lol, before she pulled a disappearing act.)

I know Megan trusts me about as well as you can trust anybody you meet online, and I promised her that I'd give Rusty a great life. I've been looking at larger rescues here for a while now, so this fell into my lap at the perfect time.

Our only concern is the long travel time, but people do it all the time. One long day seems like a small price to pay for a perfect fit. And that's what this is. I can't wait to introduce Eddie and Jack to their new big brother who happens to get along great with Yorkies.

You are the best! Do you really mean that you all will drive from Alaska to New Jersey to get Rusty? Wow.!!! I am totally impressed ..:2omg:

And Megan will have peace of mind knowing Rusty has a great home and Jack and Eddie will have an ally to fight the mooses (meese) away .How lucky can you get?

How thrilling to find out you will be giving Rusty a happy home...and Megan and her family will be seeing lots of pictures! You taking Rusty has to make it a little easier for Megan and her family, in saying goodbye. How's he getting there? Is he flying...are you going to get him? Congrats! I will look forward to seeing pics!

He'll fly. I'm looking for the shortest-possible travel day. It will be a long day, and it's not ideal, but as I said. It's one tough day for a big dog. After that, his life is gonna be great.

Mike, that is wonderful news. Rusty is going to be a great addition to your family. Maybe he can teach Eddie to be brave around the moose! For a dog, moving to Alaska is like a human moving to Tahiti---paradise! Well, I guess it's paradise for a lot of people too....

OIC now, and I thought you were driving there ..(you must have thought I was so silly to think that even)

But even so, flying him to you is a BIG deal also ...

he will sleep much of the way I hope.

Oh that is the BEST news! You are an angel you really are! Rusty will have a great life with you, living in Alaska! Aww i can't wait to see pics of him settled in his new home. I'm so glad everything worked out and all the dogs got great homes!:) But it is sad for Megan, im sorry Megan:( You are so strong to be able to go thru this. Bless you girl. But atleast everything worked out good and they all got the best homes and Rusty with Mike will be living the good life:) :thumbup:

I'm so glad you are taking Rusty for Megan. I'm sure she feels much better about placing her best friend with you because she'll know Rusty will be happy and safe. Now Eddie and Jack have back up against the Moose!

Spooky.....dodododo........I went to bed early last night after checking this thread one more time to see who the "lucky" one was. All I could think about was that Mike, that the only, you know the special relationship, how close Megan and Rusty are....I get like this when I'm crying.

Oh my goodness, this is such great news! I've been reading the thread and praying Rusty would find a home, and now he's found possibly the best home ever, besides staying with you, Megan. I'm sure you will miss your animals SOOOO much, but now you know they are all going to be safe and well-cared for, and you can hear updates on them! Wow...this is so wonderful! I am just in tears over ANOTHER YT happy ending :)

Congrats, Mike, on another pup :) That must be exciting for you all too, and I'm sure Eddie and Jack will love a "BIGGER" brother :D

Rusty is a great addition to your family. He's a sweetheart and already loves to play with yorkies. You have made one outstanding young lady very happy.
