Teri, I am so sorry that this is happening to you. Megan is a awesome young lady and now I can see why, you are pretty awesome yourself! None of us know when something totally unexpected can leave us unable to care for our precious babies. I think that some people just don't think ahead and realize that it could happen to them too. It could happen to any of us at any time. Megan has done an awesome job looking for new and loving homes for your precious babies. I am so happy for you that at least you will be able to see little Tucker. I hope you will both keep us updated on how he is doing. And how wonderful that Maddie is going to a fellow YTer. You will be able to follow her progress in her new home. Megan, please stay with us here on YT because I have always enjoyed your thoughts and input. I will pray that you find Rusty a very loving home and that you will still be able to visit him. My heart goes out to you and Megan. |
Terri -- my heart just aches for your family. The one bright spot is Megan... How lucky you are to have such a mature, loving young woman call you Mom. |
Oh Megan - I'm so sorry that you and your family have to rehome your babies. I know just how precious they are to you. I hope your find good homes for all three of them where you will still be able to a part of their lives. Hugs to you.... |
Terri, I can handle anything if it effects only me but when it comes to my kids then it's different. Sometimes we think we spoil are kids too much and I think you are finding out, like I have, that we have done nothing more than a wonderful job. There are hard times in life and Megan is a wonderful example what she can do for love of family. You all have each other and that is what is important. Hugs Joan |
Megan I'm so sorry you have to move and rehome your babies :( I wish I lived closer to help you out. I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you out, maybe even foster for you. Good luck. |
OMG I read through the whole thread now, I'm almost in tears! I'm glad Maddie and Tucker have found homes, I'm sure Rusty will as well. I will keep him in my prayers. Also, you guys are so right about Megan being so strong. I'm older than her, (I know most of us are probably) and I would never be able to handle rehoming my babies as well as she is handling it. I give you so much credit for your strength Megan. |
Megan, you and your family are in my prayers. You are handling this with a grace and maturity that is beyond your years. |

I am truly sorry for all that you guys are going through. I know that any of us could face a situation where we had to make this decision. I'd like to think that there is always a way to keep our furbabies with us, but no one knows your exact situation -- so no one can really comment on how hard you tried. You have done the responsible thing by placing your pets in homes where they will be loved and cared for -- that is very responsible of you and shows just how deeply you *do* love them. |
Hi, I am new here and I just came across your thread ... I am so sad that you have had to rehome your pets ... I think you are very brave and mature!!! sounds as if you have the Yorkies placed well, and I hope you can place rusty also ... all my best to you ... Jaye |

This is a very hard time for all of you. You know you have our love and support 100% You must always remember your on-line family is always here for you. You might not have Yorkies living in your new home, but they will forever live in your heart. And add to that the many yorkies you are a wonderful Auntie to;) . As far as the negative posts, I don't even read them. To be a negative person, is unhealthy. You live a lot longer with love in your heart. Megan is so strong, she will be OK, she has a heart of gold. We are all super proud of her, this isn't going to be easy, but she will be OK. Please give each other a great big hug, it comes all the way from CA. Hang in there, stay strong, and never forget we love you!:2hearts2: |
Good Morning Megan, my first thoughts getting out of bed were of you. Hang in there, you are one super kid. :heart to |
Good luck Megan and Teri....Im so sorry...:( |

Megan I am so sorry your having to give up your pets. I see that the two Yorkies have homes already, that's good. I am sure Rusty will find the perfect home also. Sorry sweetie this happened to you but sometimes we just can't control things. Good luck to you in your move. Hugs, |
:( I'm so sorry to here this, Megan. :( This really sucks...I feel your pain. Good luck in finding a new & loving home for the precious babies! All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers. |
Hi Teri and Megan, Last night while trying to go to sleep, I was thinking of you and suddenly an idea popped into my head. Teri...you mentioned you had to go on disability. Why not get Rusty certified as a service dog for your disability! Then you could keep him because landlords cannot turn service dogs away! I wish this could work for you. I feel so bad for you all. *HUGS* |
