Very sad news....

Our family is moving and we can't keep the dogs. :( As hard as it is, there's no way around it. I know a lot of people say that they'd rather go homeless than have to give up their dogs, but when you're actually put in the situation your opinion changes. We might have a home for Maddie, but we're not sure yet. We need homes for all 3 of them - Rusty, Tucker, and Maddie. So, here we go.

Rusty - Rusty is a 9 year old Chocolate lab mix. He's really sweet and well behaved. He knows all kinds of commands. He loves to play and gets along really well with other animals (he's afraid of big dogs though). He loves kids, too. He is an indoor pet who thinks he's a yorkie and wants to sleep on your lap. =) He's my best friend.

Tucker - Tucker is a 2 1/2 year old Yorkie. He's 12 lbs. He is a ball of energy and loves to snuggle. He gets along well with other animals and kids. He loves to play fetch, and he knows all basic commands.

Maddie - Maddie is a big baby haha. She's 4 years old. She LOVES snuggling and being petted. Playing games like fetch are SO below her, she'd rather sit on your lap. haha.

If anyone wants more information or anything...shoot me a PM or email. This is very emotional for us...and I've been avoiding this post for a while. But I just can't anymore. We're moving on November 3rd. Maddie is getting spayed on November 6th, so we're keeping her until at least a few days afterwords - whether the owner likes it or not. Megan, I'm so sorry for you having to find homes for your friends. But I hope your move will be something good for you and your family.

WHAT!?!!? :eek: I am so sorry! I think you will be able to find them good homes with some YT people. :)

Oh wow Im so sorry to hear this, I know you love your babies, You can tell from all your posts, I feel so sorry for you and for your pets. Its going to be so hard to find homes for them in that short of time. I know I have a Beagle we rescued 6 or so months ago thats still looking for her forever home. Your 9 year old Labs going to be the hardest to rehome, again Im sorry and Ill keep them in my T & P that they find good loving forever homes.

Aww Megan...I am very sorry your family is being forced make a decision
like this. I know it's something that is breaking your heart as seeing this
breaks mine. I know the time and love you've put into those furbabies
and I wish I was closer so I could help you out. Hopefully some members
here will see this and make sure those babies get very special homes.

I am so sorry for you and your family Megan. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I only wish we live closer. Tucker would fit right in with Moose. ;)

aw Megan i'm So so so sorry you have to rehome your babies. I can't even imagine how hard this is for you and your family. I hope you find them great home here on YT. :(

Oh My! That isn't much time to find homes. :( I pray they find good homes in time...i would definately at least help till they found homes if I was closer...

I'm kind of lost for words..My sister moved twice, once from Illinois to SC, and then from SC to Ky...on her moves, she took all 5 of her dogs, she couldn't part from any of them..Are you moving to an apartment? I do know for a fact, if we have to move, I will be hauling all of my dogs with me..as long as you're moving from one house to another, it's not as hard as you think

It is as hard as I think when the house is owned by a landlady who just put 100,000 dollars into it having it completley redone. You think I'm doing this for fun?

She is only 14, it's not as if it is her choice as to where to live. Let's please try to support her during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry Megan, I know this must be tearing you apart. Would the landlady even concider letting you keep Maddie since she is so small? Is she pee pad trained?
There has to be a way around this so you can at least keep 1. This just breaks my heart for you. I know when we moved, before I had yorkies, I had a black cat and had to give her up and it just broke my daughters heart, so I know you must be so devasated.

Are there not other options for homes to move into? I wouldn't live somewhere that didn't allow me to take my pets. I'd look elsewhere. I know you're only 14 so your parents are the ones making the decisions. Are they just not willing to look for pet-friendly housing?

Megan, could you ask her about taking at least one of them with you? Some landladies will let you have dogs, you have to pay a little extra deposit(sometimes $100-$200 for dogs)..

God Megan, I am SO sorry. I don't even know what to say here. I just can't believe that you have to do this :( I can\'t even imagine how much pain you must be feeling right now. I am sending you big hugs girl, and many prayers for you to stay strong :hug:
