| Why aren't people reliable? I am sitting here so not wanting to go cut my grass!! I hired a guy to cut my grass but let him go after not showing up several times. My husband and I work long hard hours and would rather not spend our time off cutting the grass. Now granted... we are capable but I would rather spend that time someother way.. you know.. like YT..lol So, now I am stuck cutting really high st augustine grass...not fun. I had a pool company taking care of my pool too. I let them go too because i thought how hard can THAT be?? I mean really... So I would use the pool care money for the yard guy. Then I found out the pool guy was ruining the finish on my pool with poor quality chemicals. Can we not count on anyone anymore?? Thanks for letting me vent... Guess I better go cut the grass before it gets hot! |

| Argh, I totally understand. Last year we had alot of work done around the house , everyday for 2 months was hell. Luckily I was at home, they tried to cut so many corners but I caught them on it. If you are friendly with your neighbors, ask them if they have any recommendations for those services. The guy who cuts our lawn also cuts like 5+ other houses on my street. When his father was still alive, he fixed our chimney at a very reasonable price. |

| It drives me nuts when you're paying for a service, and the people either don't come or they come and do a crappy job.

| Our lawn guy comes about every 2-3 weeks, the grass would be long but not to the extent of a jungle. |

It is raining and hot. It is only 85 degrees here but seems much hotter with the humidity. I have to find someone!!! Poor Bella was lost in the grass and using the bathroom on my outdoor patio cus she couldnt even walk thru the grass~ it was above her nose Here is the grass right after a cut. Because st aug is so squishy when bella stand it is already half way up her leg. When it grows it is up to her nose...lol poor kid. She prefers short grass.. so what Bella wants...Bella gets..j/k (ok maybe not)

| I moved to FL almost 5 years ago and in my opinion this state is the worst for stuff like that. It goes on here all the time. We hired a someone to mow our lawn. They said they would mow our yard once a week in the summer and every two weeks in the winter. Well it was June when we hired this person and he cut our lawn every two weeks, broke one of the sprinkler heads and charged us his rates for cutting once a week. We paid him for the month and told him don't bother coming back. Lived in Virginia my whole life prior to moving to FL and never had stuff like this happen. I've dealt with roof contractors, Home depot subcontractors, window contractors, home painters, handyman services, carpet and floor contractors, real estate agents and yard service companies in Virginia and never had any problems.

| It is definitely hard to find reliable people. No doubt about it.

I resodded my lawn because it's the grass I grew up with. IF kept trimmed and cut it looks like a carpet. I bet your grass has a name. Zoisya, centipede and bermuda are also popular here. I bet you have rye and nice blue grasses there in the cooler temps.

| I guess we do not think of it in a special way ... after all, we only see it 8 months of the year!!! the rest of the time it is white as snow, or dirty as mud ..... |
