we just have "grass" here .... and it is green ...
that is funny. Each grass really does have a name. St aug is known for its soft squishy thick turf and it has a wide blade. Its also known for getting cinch bugs which can distroy your lawn in a matter of days.
I resodded my lawn because it's the grass I grew up with. IF kept trimmed and cut it looks like a carpet. I bet your grass has a name. Zoisya, centipede and bermuda are also popular here.
I bet you have rye and nice blue grasses there in the cooler temps.
