| Luigi Performs Some Tricks! So I finally have a video of Luigi doing some of his tricks. He is a little over 4 months now, but he learned these in a matter of days when I got him around 3 months. In the video, he: -sits -high fives -lies down -rolls over -he also shakes a little in the second part, but the video didnt catch him doing it better later -and he can also crawl on the floor on his belly when he lies down(which is super cute) but we didn't catch that either (i'll try and post another video later with that though) I apologize the video is dark, and I apologize for sounding like a moron with my massive praising (Bravooooo!), I'm embarrassed..but it's for the sake of showing off my little Luigi hah. Also, I'm sorry my friend starts having a conversation in the middle of it, I had 2 of my friends there and one decided to start talking about myspace haha. Pretty funny though. In any case..enjoy http://video.google.com/googleplayer...59348660&hl=en

| That is so cute! How did you get him to do that? I have only been able to train Toby to sit. I have been working on paw to no avail |

Lie down, I would kinda pat the floor with one hand, and place the treat on the ground (still holding it). Some dogs will just automatically lie down to get the treat..he did that. I had a hard time teaching him this one though, sometimes he'd lunge at my hand..but now, he's got it. As for roll over, whenever he was lying down, I'd kinda just roll him over myself and say the command. Soon enough I would just reach out my hand to roll him over, and he'd do it without me even touching him. Now I just give the hand gesture, and he'll do it (like he did in the video). As for shake, I would hold the treat out (but hide it in my palm), and he'd paw at my hand. After a few tries, I'd just say "shake" (holding out my hand), and he'll lift his paw up. The video doesn't show it well, but I'll be sure to post a better one later. Crawling on his belly (i'll show this in another video as well), I'd have him lie down, and then drag the treat on the ground. He started to crawl on his belly, and I made a trick out of it

| Thank you I've discovered that hand gestures are great for training. Sometimes I don't have to say the command...I just hold up my hand (high five), drag it on the floor(crawl on belly), gesture down (lie down), or roll it above him (roll over),and he'll do the command. So I suggest incorporating hand gestures with verbal commands, because most dogs can recognize hand movements better than just hearing english.

| I am sad.... The video won't play for me. When I click on the link, it goes to a "big frozen" picture. It looks like Lugi is sitting up!
