I've discovered that hand gestures are great for training. Sometimes I don't have to say the command...I just hold up my hand (high five), drag it on the floor(crawl on belly), gesture down (lie down), or roll it above him (roll over),and he'll do the command. So I suggest incorporating hand gestures with verbal commands, because most dogs can recognize hand movements better than just hearing english.
