| She does very well for a young pup! Just be careful, a flea comb can snag and pluck out the whiskers when they get thicker. I only use the thin end of a regular comb to do the muzzle and chin, or I trim the heavier whiskers down to about 1/8 inch.

| Katy is sooo cute and well behaved for 7 months old, good training mom. When I do a top knot I use a rat tail comb under the latex band to loosen the hair around the eyes to rid the surprised look, although it is funny to me but uncomfortable for them lol. Katy is such a little sweetie, thanks for sharing your video with us.

| She did well! I also have a puppy about that age and it was good to pick up some of your tricks.

THANK YOU! I am really trying to 'do her right'. Do you still use the Flea Comb on top of the head?, before you put a Top Knot in?

THANK YOU! I can NOT find a good Rat Tail Comb reasonably priced! Dang It. The only ones I have seen are either blunt ended, read, FAT ended, or so expensive...... I am thinking about sanding down the end of a Chinese Chop Stick.....any thoughts on that? I think it would work. Not to a sharp end, but more pointed than combs are offering.

Thank You! Now? Do you cut whiskers so that they do not get in the comb? And or to keep them out of the Top Knot? Do you pull the hair a side to cut the whiskers? I sure appreciate your help.

YES! Thank You! THIS is what I was picturing....making for Katy. I sure appreciate your help. We might ALL be able to use Tooth Picks, <winks and laughs> IF they still made them like they used to! Some are so flimsy!, a person can barely 'check a cake' anymore!

The whiskers feel thick like fishing line and will sometimes stand out once you smooth the hair down. I gather the muzzle and chin hair together under the chin and hold firmly to get the whiskers to pop out enough to get the scissor under it, then press the scissor against the muzzle to get as close to the skin as possible, so the cut whisker doesn’t show when hair is released. Eventually, the whiskers grow back in thinner and more hair-like. When I start to snip, I hold the scissors across the lay of the hair to avoid cutting the hair I want to keep. I do one or two whiskers at a time, and careful not to pull the scissors away before the cut is made. This will take some training and patience, but all my dogs learned to tolerate this procedure in time. I’ll try to post some pics... hope this helps.
