| Wow . . . lots of advice. My vet showed me once, but I've never been able to find the spot to do it. Even though I've tried. |

♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | Yep, and your fingers fit in (not inside, but sort of indent in) right behind them. Once you figure out where your fingers go, it's a cinch! I was taught to sort of squeeze and pull forward gently, like milking a cow...is that what you do Crystal?

| I was never actually taught, sooo I just read a few sites. I kinda squeeze toward me and up. Or I do it internally...

♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | Oh, wow! Brave girl!! I know it can be done internally, and some say that's better than externally (and some say the opposite)...I'm scared to wing that though. When we're at the vet next time, I may ask him which is better (and why..of course! ) and then have him show me how to do it internally if that's best.

| My Lola scoots occasionally but it's not consistant. Like last night she did a scoot on the carpet. I've never had them expressed and if I catch her scooting it's usually like once in the day and then she doesn't do it again for a long long time. |

| I have the vet do it because Couver begins to scoot obsessively, and I worry that it is causing him discomfort. One time I took him and the vet said they were 'explosive'! I hope to eventually learn how to do it myself, but I've watched videos... and am too scared to try it myself
