thank you. spoiled? what's that? The princess thinks it's normal. lol OMG, Maggie is such a whiner. I can hear her upstairs when I am getting ready for work! Maggie is 17 mos old. At one point I got her to stop whining. She is (was) clicker trained and I got to where she knew what I meant when I said "no whine" but I've laxed off and now it's beyond trying. How old is your Rockie?

Rockie turned two April of this year. Maggie is too cute, l really like seeing Hot Rods pictures too. How did you come up with his name; l like it. Rockie whines too. You said she stopped whining at one point?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated on how to get Rockie to stop.

thanks! lol, we'd thrown out a few names, hot rod being one of them after my hubby's hot rod (he's a car buff) and we couldn't decide. all of a sudden he got the zoomies and went tearing thru the house and we both looked at each other and nodded, "Hot Rod". Maggie's name is because we wanted to stay with the car theme and hubby came up with mags for mag wheels and I've always liked Maggie May for the Rod Stewart song. so that's how they got named. lol.

As for the whining, like I said, maggie had gone thru clicker training so it was kinda easy for me. With Rockie, try when he is whining to pick one word once he stops and say it and treat. He will more than likely whine again, well, try to hold a treat but don't give it to him until he stops whining, then say that word and treat. Keep practicing with him. It doesn't have to be anything formal, just here and there but make sure that you are consistent. This is from Mggie's training class with the clicker. Good luck! Let me know if this helps/works. So Hot Rod is a zoomer l can well imagine the fun you have with them, him and Maggie May. There both gorgeous l really enjoy looking at him when you post pictures. Thank you for the well needed advise on the whining for Rockie, l'm going to include it in our daily routine.

Maggie May reminds me of my Ben -- he thinks he is such big stuff but he is just a whiny baby when he can't get down! His son Rocky (6 months old) will go anywhere, jump up on or down off anything. Ben on the other hand, doesn't have enough ummph to follow through. So, he gets stranded from time to time and will whimper til I rescue him. I have a baby gate to make sure he cannot find himself in a predicament when I am gone.

My first yorkie was also named Maggie and I always called her Maggie May. I would lamely sing "Rod Stewart style" to her..... "Wake up Maggie, I think I've got something to say to you" .....then of course the refrain...."You led me away from home, just to stop you from being alone, You stole my heart, that's a pain I could do without."

she's much more calm in the video. Before I got the camera she sped back and forth on the bed like a ferrari! I thought she was going to get whiplash going back and forth so fast. lol
