thanks! lol, we'd thrown out a few names, hot rod being one of them after my hubby's hot rod (he's a car buff) and we couldn't decide. all of a sudden he got the zoomies and went tearing thru the house and we both looked at each other and nodded, "Hot Rod".
Maggie's name is because we wanted to stay with the car theme and hubby came up with mags for mag wheels and I've always liked Maggie May for the Rod Stewart song. so that's how they got named. lol.
As for the whining, like I said, maggie had gone thru clicker training so it was kinda easy for me. With Rockie, try when he is whining to pick one word once he stops and say it and treat. He will more than likely whine again, well, try to hold a treat but don't give it to him until he stops whining, then say that word and treat. Keep practicing with him. It doesn't have to be anything formal, just here and there but make sure that you are consistent. This is from Mggie's training class with the clicker. Good luck! Let me know if this helps/works.
