That's really cute. Hot Rod has a fleece lamb thatwe got when he first came home and he chews the tail to no end before going to sleep. He goes and gets it and drags it up to the couch and starts gnawing on it. I had to get some backups too-just in case. lol. I see his little head start to droop and then eventually go down for the count and he's done for the night.

My Piper does the same thing with a stuff dog. I haven't found any back ups yet. I wash it very carefully on the gentle cycle in a knee hi. I thought Piper did this strange behavior because I know for a fact that the litter was separated from their mother at 6 weeks because the breeder had a female who had a litter and her milk never came in. The breeder took Piper's mom to nurse the litter.

That is so cute...I'm trying to make Teddi have something she sleeps with but she doesn't seem to understand why I keep making her sleep with this bear blanket thing. I would love her to have something that she goes to sleep with but at 2.5 years old maybe she is too old (I'll keep trying a little longer

I do think it has something to do with being seperated from their mama too young. I never thought of it until someone brought it up but it is a very good point.

Ronlynn, you had me LOL at work!!!! Just keep at it, i'm sure with time your baby will make somthing a "baby". Bailey just took the Hedgehog and made it his baby one day.

Soo Cute! I couldn't tell for sure what your baby was sucking on -- my screen is a little dark. Is it a stuffed bone?

It's actually one of the smaller Hedgehog's from Petsmart, but it can't be just any Hedgehog, it's got to be JUST right, so I have to buy in bulk...LOL! And don't try to take it away from him because he'll wimper and give a friendly growl/moan...

My BBF's dog did that his whole life plus he kneeded like a kitten while he sucked on his alf doll when he went to sleep...he was a yorkie too.....that is so cute.........
