| Dang, those are some big dogs! And I thought I had a big boy back home!...he's tiny compared to most of those! 80fe5b4c-f324-4085-a801-be4b3f15b365.jpg f72f4e65-256d-4a6f-ba84-6edccac475a8.jpg dfbc9418-e55c-4ef5-996e-a685d39a0b20.jpg ETA: Don't freak out about him being chained up! He DOES NOT stay like that...only when my parents have company over and he needs to stay in the backyard. Normally he has free run of our farm.

| When i was in college I was a nanny for 2 doctors. they had a 7 yr old AND an Irish Wolfhound just like these. That dog was a show dog and He took ME for a walk. He towered above me when he was on his hind legs. OH and i did have the pleasure of scoopin his poop There was so much of it i had a shovel and at the back of their property they had some underground toilet that you put the poop in. I hated that part. you stepped on a lever and a lid opened and you just dropped it in the tank. I had to hold the food bowl in my lap for him to eat because he couldnt reach the floor. I microwaved the can food and mixed in the dry kibble. I used to think they were crazy but now that i am a yorkie mom i totally understand..lol |

| Good Grief!!! My first thought when I saw these giants was the expense of feeding them, then the "cleaning up". I'm soooo glad to have my little 5 lb yorkie thank you very much!

| I actually had the chance to meet an Irish Wolfhound in person. I took Destiny in at the vet's and an owner in the waiting room had one. I couldn't believe how big they were in person!! It was the first one I have ever seen up close, you just don't see that many of them around. Destiny looked like a squeak toy next to him. He was very sweet and mellow. She said she had two others at home I believe. She drove him there in a van and said he takes up the whole back part of the van, lol. It is a shame that they have such a short lifespan though.
