| Buddy got groomed by "ME" Well if you read my other thread you know Buddy went bonkers at the groomer's. I have no idea why he started not to like the groomer's but out of desperation, I had no other choice, I groomed him myself. I made a couple of boo boo's, having cut way too short on the back of his neck and then again down alittle farther. I tried to copy the groomer's line from last grooming and found myself enjoying it. He was wonderful just sitting there letting me do anything I needed to do. Why could he not do that at the groomer's? For those of you who do groom what size do you use on the body? Also something confusing to me, the clipper itself adjusts to different lengths, however it does not state what they are then there are different clip ons that do tell you what length they are. If you use the clip on's how do you adjust the clipper itself for length? Oh well, he did come out pretty darn good for my first time. Tomorrow I have to do a sanitary trim because the small clippers were not charged and I am afraid to use the bigger ones down there. What do you think? |

| You did a great job! I groomed Scout myself this time too. He turned out ok. He would scream like I was killing him when I got near his face and neck with the clippers. I don't think I was hurting him. It scared me so much, it took me a whole week to try it again and even him up!! I used the scissors to carefully trim around the twig and (non)berries.

I was really scared also. I did go down to the skin, but did not pinch him, he has a small bald spot on the back of his neck! I got lucky but I really don't know what I am doing. I need help with the clippers and attachments. The video was not much help. It didn't groom a Yorkie or show you the different settings. Maybe if I watch again I'll learn more. I really needed to get him done today. What a day! I can't believe how wonderfu he was after going bonkers at the groomer's. I guess he wanted to save me $. | |

| I didn't have a video. I just started with the longest attachment and worked my way down to where I thought he looked good. I couldn't figure out how to do his paws, so he has long hair on his paws...looks like boots...hehe Here he is showing you his boots

| The feet I have done in the past myself. I use a moustache trimmer on the pads. 1/4" setting to clean up the hair inbetween. I just ran the trimmer across the pads and it took off excess hair between the pads. For the feet hair, put the foot down and comb the hair forward then trim in a circular motion around the foot! That's it. Comes out really nice and neat. |
