| Meet My Mia Mia arrived from Miami on 10/24 and has quickly taken over the house! She is now 19 weeks and 3.5 lbs - mom was 4.5 lbs, dad 2.5 lbs. Not sure how big she will actually end up. She thinks she is a Labrador Retriever like her big sister Brandy who is 7 and weighs 103 lbs. They play tug and Brandy has been very successful in teaching Mia to go out to potty. Mia could do anything and Brandy would put up with it. She just lies there while Mia crawls all over her and sleeps on her back. I think we should have named Mia "Piglet" or "Thief". She is continually trying to get out to climb up and perch on Brandy's raised bowls and eat her food. She tries to take biscuits right out of Brandy's mouth, and today, Brandy decided to steal about a 2 x 2 x 4 piece of deep dish Pizza from the trash and Mia jumped and stole it from her mouth and ran like the dickens. Needless to say my son(15), Brandy and I had quite a chase trying to get it from her - but we won. The same son says we need to train a "herd" of Yorkies to enter doggie doors and bring us jewels - she likes to steal what she can and hide it. I think she might have a very small inguinal hernia, as there is a slight 'pooch' when she stands for a long time or stands and fidgets. The vet didn't notice anything unusual, tho, and I know this can be very common in pups. We had an unusual snow Monday (a whole 2 - 3" in NM) and she refused to wear a coat and wanted to play in it constantly. Brandy FINALLY got her to follow inside and she was covered in ice and snow - shivering but happy. She sleeps with us and goes everywhere. My son is a nationally ranked gymnast and my daughter is a competitive fencer so we travel a lot and Mia will go with us. So far most stores welcome her - in a bag or out - except those with open food. I bought a BESSO bag off ebay and my sister sent a front carrier. For the car I got a rubbermaid carrier ( only $14 at Big Lots) and she will curl up and sleep in it without complaint. More later..... I LOVE learning about all your babies! Julie |

| That first picture is great, goldcupmom! Looks like they get along great. Our neighbor's golden retriever just tries to eat Yoda, she gets SO confused when she sees Yoda, as she doesn't know what Yoda is! |

| How sweet... I love the name of your yorkie (I just got another yorkie and her name is Mia also; paper name is "All about Mia"). Sounds like you're really enjoying her. Sounds also like she'll be around 6 lbs full grown. Our older yorkie was 3.5 lbs @ 9 weeks old and she's 9 lbs now. They grow fast. Enjoy your yorkie and thanks for sharing. |

| Julie ... GREAT pics ... they are gorgeous! We travel a lot too and Toto is the most fun to take along! I'll bet Brandy is a great playmate for Mia! I wish I had the nerve to get another but I don't think I could properly care for two ... Toto is such a handful! We have also found that most all stores don't mind you bringing these babies along unless there is food present. We did find lots of restaurants in Florida, which offered outdoor dining, welcomed Toto!

| hee hee, when I see pics like Julie's makes me wanna run and get a companion for Cosita, but when I remember how hyper she is, I don't know if I could handle two of those. LOL Cosita can claim all my draperies in one second if I let her... -r Quote:
