It is touch and go with my Lily everyday. She has good days and bad days. She doesn't eat very well and has to be hand fed. She has not grown in a couple of months. She is almost 7 months old and is barely 2 lbs. She drinks water on her own very well though. She cries out a lot and sometimes seems confused and very tired but she never seems to be in pain thank goodness. She also seems very happy and she and Dixie just love to play which makes me feel good when I watch them.

She is having another bile acid test done next week (She has MVD as well). If her levels are normal, then we will start her on steroids.

awwww I'm so glad she has Dixie to play with! Right now, my Lily is too small to play with Jake, but she sure gets excited when she sees him.

Lily cried out the first couple nights, and it did sound like she was in pain. She literally screamed, it was heartbreaking. She has not cried out since then, but she will whimper a bit when she has to potty. That's how I know she has to go. The first thing I do anytime I take her out of her crate is put her on a pee pad, and she always goes. At first, she wasn't going much at a time. After she started getting lots more fluid in her, she started peeing in huge amounts, it was unbelievable. She was getting rid of that excess fluid. When I first got her, she could barely squat to do #2 without falling over, so I actually had to hold her in position. Now, she can do it with no problem.

She still sleeps ALOT, but I wake her up for feeding if she's sleeping. After eating, we play with her on the floor until we see she's getting tired. Sometimes I just sit with her and move her legs, like I'm exercising them. I'm trying to help her strengthen them. The vet said that's a great idea, and it can't hurt.

I would love to hear the results of your Lily's tests when you find out! I will keep her in my prayers!

Thank you Brenda! She is doing really good today. She was awake alot more than normal and seemed to want to play. I got some real quick pics with my cell phone camera that I'll be posting later. My digital isn't working right for some reason, which is making me nuts. She has much better control of her head now, so she can walk around and hold her head up. She's getting nosey, wants to see what's going on and wants to investigate everything around her.

She's a fiesty little girl who has a little attitude. When I'm feeding her Esbilac from a bottle, she wants to try to drink too fast. So, I'll stop feeding for a few seconds and she gets mad at me and squeals, like "hey mommy, don't take my bottle away, I'm not done yet!" lol

I'm seeing more of her personality start to come out now, and I love it!
