| Before my beloved Gracie died, people used to say things like "my aunt has one of those but its much smaller!" Gracie was 6 lbs. and absolutely beautiful! She had a perfect face and beautiful hair and coloring! People can be ignorant! Like the people who tell you to your face you've gotten fat! I always say "thank you for telling me that, I wondered why my clothes didn't fit anymore!"

| It was just like my trip to City Hall to see a person I like to keep in touch with. The Survey Engineer came down the hall and said, "Whoa, you got one of those high dollar rats". I told him," Wrong, this is my diamond studded A-Hole Dog." I wanted to poke something , or is that cut something off?

| All of your stories pissed me off. People can be SO dumb! I think I've told this before, but: I was at my Vet's office and Stewie was getting his Rabies shot. Anyway, I was in the waiting room with Stewie on my lap waiting to be scene. At this time he was about 4lbs, maybe a little less. This woman comes out of one of the Vet's lab areas with a hard plastic carrier. She takes one look at Stewie and says "Wow! Is that a Yorkie? His hair is a weird color and he's huge!" at this time, Stewie's hair was changing color on his head and paws (LIKE YORKIES DO!) She proceeds to pull out a 1lb puppy from her carrier who had not changed colors yet. It looked totally unhealthy; she started telling me how much she paid for her "teacup Yorkie breed" so she would stay small. Ugh. I hope her dog grows to be 7lbs just to show her what an idiot she really was.

| Whatever happened to manners? "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!" Evidently these rude people had no proper upbringing! I hope that woman's yorkie is a 16 pounder!

| I have a pretty small puppy and when people see him, the first thing they ask is "how old is he" (4 months) and the second thing is "is he going to get any bigger". I just sit back and think..."is a 2 year old kid going to get any bigger?" Of course he is...he's a puppy. I am beginning to think that people expect yorkies and gineau (sp?) pigs to be the same size. People also ask me if he's a teacup or a miniature, which I answer with a roll of the eyes and a sarcastic "of course didn't you see the teaset I brought in with him". Ignorance irritates me to begin with. Ignorance when people think they are smart makes me want to poke their eyes out.

| I haven't gotten too many rude comments about Pixie besides the usual frou frou dog crap but I used to get them all the time on Tuffy.. People were always telling me that they hated ankle biters like Maltese and that Maltese were stupid dogs.. what amazed me was that these people probably had never seen or met a Maltese in person before the day they saw Tuffy. I even had one lady tell me that she had a "rare black Maltese"..I told her that I hated to break the news to her but Maltese only come in variations of white. She looked at me like I had grown two heads and started arguing with me about what the breeder had told her about how Maltese come in all kinds of colors these days but to get a black one was especially rare. I didn't want to get into an argument with her about it so I told her to go look up on the AKC website to see the breed standard for Maltese. She huffed away from me after that. I wish I could have seen her "rare" Maltese to see what kind of breed(s) he actually was.

| Look if they know so little about the breed then just consider the source, and overlook it. They were rude, but all you can do is explain to them that yorkies come in all sizes, and your dog isn't a mutant. Then ignore them. |
