| Hi from New Jersey - introducing Kalina Hi everyone. I tried to post Kalina's picture, but I must be doing something wrong because either my posts didn't go through or else about 20 of them will show up at once! LOL Anyway, I have a new "baby" named Kalina. She was born on April 1st and I am getting her on the 19th. The breeder is in Indiana and won't ship her until she is old enough. I started to worry about that, and finally I decided that I will fly to Indiana myself and pick her up. I just can't stand the thought of her in the cargo hold. I have a four hour space of time between getting off the plane and getting on the return flight. That'll give me plenty of time to meet the breeder and Kalina. I really am excited. I had Yorkies 37 years ago and they were my life, I adored them. Now I am semi-retired and my kids are grown and I feel like this is the perfect time for me to get another dog. I wish I remembered everything about Yorkies in particular. I would post a picture of my puppy, Timmy, from all those years ago, but I have no frame of reference for posting yet. I will definately do that at some point. Kalina's picture is on my avatar. I'll work on how to post her "big" picture as time goes on. I'm happy to be here though and I have already seen so many of my questions answered on some of the forums. I have no idea what Kalina weighs at this point but the breeder says she will be "around 5 lbs" full grown. Actually, it doesn't matter -- I know I will love her no matter what.

| Welcome to YT Your baby is certainly a cutie! I have two furbabies, Emmy (1 year) and Oscar (12 weeks). My kids are grown, too--32 and 24 with their own dogs and cats! I am not retired (been teaching for 20 years and going to try to keep doing it). I had never owned any animals, until my daughter begged for a yorkie a few years ago and we bought it, 6 months after that, bought her another one, 6 months later bought my hubby and me one, and one year later, bought our most recent little one (last Friday to be exact). We are loving them!

| You sound just like me. I'm retired, kids are grown and gone, bought a Yorkie in TN. and flew there to get her and flew back the next day. It was such an exciting time, so I know exactly how your feeling. After I had Zada for three months, I bought her first cousin. So now I have two darling "daughters" and they are so much company to each other. |
