He has such a cute face! I love him! Hope you are able to find out about what's currently bothering him.

Have you ever seen these? http://www.handicappedpets.com/acc/harness/index.htm It is a very clever idea for blind dogs.

Sounds like he is doing so well he probably doesn't need it, though.

that is a neat idea.

Sometimes he gets too confident & rushed normally straight into a fence or wall when he goes for his walkies, on a leash. so you have to be quick to pull him away from hurting himself!!

He is funny sometimes when he bumps into something, he just shakes his head & carrys on!!

If you see him gonna walk into something, if you say or shout "mind you head" he will either change course or stop!!! he has adapted really well!!

he is a spoilt little boy, you cant help spoilt a face like he has!!! he loves toys, he has 2 toyboxes full of toys he regularly climbs in & empties them to find one particular toy (normally at the bottom of the box)

He is like a kid at christmas with all the presents, he opens his all on his own

He was just not keep anything down, in the end after many trips to our local vet they said they couldnt find out what was the matter & as he was vomiting blood & pooing blood theyre found a vet who was willing to see him. They did loads of tests & an endoscopy & we found out what was up with him & he treated him. He lost so much wieght you could see every bone in his body & we was frantic trying to find out what the matter was. But he is better now, well of that problem anyway, he has put most of his wieght back on & is a happy soul. They also discovered he has a heart murmur which we need to keep an eye on.

He has a new medica problem which we are trying to find out what it is, this is worrying at the moment & i think I may need to take him back to the mainland vet to see if they can help him again. He is at the vets on friday to see if the treatment of this new problem is working. We had to get him an emergency appointment at the vet a few days ago, poor little boy has had a rough ride the last year, hopefully this new problem isnt serious. I hate it when he is poorly as he is like my child & love him loads, he is special boy, my companion for me when my husband is working & for both of us get so much joy from him & unconditional love. Its hard when they are poorly. he is a little fighter tho.

I live in the western Isles (Lewis) it is lovely here, but you can be isolated sometimes.

Aww bless him. Sounds like he's been through a lot.

I'm so glad to here that he copes well and has one problem under control. You'll have to keep us update with his situation. We're a very caring community and we worry about other people's pet, we get really concerned when we know one is ill and we don't hear anything.

I google Lewis, what a beautiful island you live on! I bet there's some lovely walks to go on there!

Yeah there are lots of places to walk your little ones, lots of beaches too.

Rolly used to love the beach but since losing his sight he is terrified of the sand or any surface which moves underfoot. we take him the same walk each night for continuity as he gets confused if we change the route or do the walk vice versa!

Rolly is not well really today was sick about 30minutes ago, he is sleeping beside me now. He hasnt touched his food today so I am wondering if it is the antibiotics causing it or if it is just his pre-existing stomach problem. Im hoping they will get to the bottom of this new problem. I am just praying it aint something serious.

Oh I just wanted to say welcome! and I am sad that Rolly isn't feeling well today. I hope you get to the bottoem of his newest ordeal as well prayers and thought's are with you & Rolly.

Ozzie will be 10 next month, and like Rolly, has had health issues really for the first time during the past year (except for an occasional ear infection through the years). What IS it about turning 10?!

Rolly is gorgeous and sounds like he is also quite a character. Let us know how he's doing!

dunno what being 10 does to our babies, but lets hope they all are better soon.

We all worry about our little woofs when their poorly dont we.

When you hear how some people treat animals, it makes you wonder how some people such lovely animals who give you unconditional love

Aww, I'm sorry Rolly isn't well today. I hope he feels better tomorrow.

Bless your little Rolly!!! I am so very sorry that he has had such tough health issues. These little angels are so precious, so loving, so innocent. To watch them being sick - it's just such a helpless feeling. You want to just take that little body in your arms and kiss all things bad away. It's so very hard to watch them ailing; my heart goes out to you. Please keep us updated on your precious little guy; he is quite beautiful. I will hold a good thought for him and for you.
