| New here Hi, thought I would introduce myself~ My daughter just got her very first dog and of course he's ( she picked out Charlie for his name ) is a sweet little Yorkie! So glad to find this forum suggested by another forum I frequent because she has never had a dog and the last one I had ( a Boston Terrier) was over 30 years ago! Charlie is only 3 months old and daughter hasn't a clue as to how to be consistent with toilet training. Silly girl went and got him too soon anyway, she's in the middle of moving and puts him in puppy daycare and thinks they should be doing all the training... She wants him trained by July so he isn't peeing all over her new home but I am afraid once the move happens the training is going to have to start all over again. One good thing is that I am moving into her basement suite to help her out and know that I am going to be the one re-training this little guy. . So I hope to learn a lot of things here and hope you all bear with me as I stumble-bum through this process! |

| looks like the best Yorkie forum yet! Not that I have tried any other! Just liked the feel of this one from the get go....so I am to be a Yorkie 'Grandma! This is going to be a challenge to say the least and hope everything works out and we don't confuse Charlie with the extra 'boss' in the house. |

| No kidding! Quote:
I had no idea how fast responses are posted! I think I stumbled upon a great place for all kinds of knowledge! So many great pictures here I can hardly stand the plethora of cuteness! Going over to Vancouver this weekend to spend some time with him and will post more pictures of Charlie...very exiting and scary at the same time (not having the responsibility of a puppy) | |

| OMG- it's like babyland! Going to a pet store is out of this world! So many things- like having a new human baby! I haven't explored this forum, see there is a lot of subjects to talk about....do male Yorke's look silly with bows in their hair when they actually grow some? Don't want to embarrass the little guy! Maybe a blue bow? |

| Welcome! I think you're right...the new home may "throw off" any potty training he's had at his other home until he gets used to his new place and where he is supposed to "go!" Luckily, the spots are pretty tiny

| Welcome to YT! Little Charlie is darling and you'll be enjoying him and grinning from ear to ear. They are such little entertainers! As for the bow question...lots of people with male yorkies use bows in their topknots!
