| Oh such great news that baby "C" is doing better. Even greeting you at the door, how sweet! I hope she continues to get better and thoughts of well wishes are still sent her way! Bless you for taking such great care.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how these pups got the bacteria. The only thing I can think of are the cats that come into my backyard and deficate. Gracie eats cat poop like it's a rib eye steak. I don't know what I'm going to do about the cats. This can happen again. I didn't even think of asking the vet what type of bacteria it was or how they could have contracted it. He called me back this evening but we weren't home. I'll call him again tomorrow. |

| Give Pups Pedialite sick or not? Quote:
I hope all your lil puppies continue to improve and thrive. That pedialite seems to be good for all creatures. My daughter was told to soak her sick chamelon in it. He was not expected to live at christmas time and he is still with us. I was wondering if someone could answer my question about Pedialite: Why not just give it to all puppies to help them thrive sick or not?

| tshopper, try giving the other pups the pedia-pops. They are pedialite popsicles and they may like them better. |

| It's not your fault! Don't beat yourself up wondering if it is sonehow your fault that they got the bacteria because it certainly is not! It can happen to anyone. Coccidia, giardia and other problems are often "blamed" on the breeder, but if you research it, it is so common and almost impossible to completely protect against. We all do our best in our homes and everywhere to prevent infection for virus and bacteria but there is just simply no way to. I am so glad you were in tune to her and saw that she was having a problem and that your vet knew what to do. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | The latest on "CiCi"...very cute btw...she has done almost a complete 180. She still doesn't play with her sisters, but then again, she never did. She has the fatest little tummy now! I've decided to just treat Gracie and the antibiotics will be transferred to the pups through the milk. That way, the meds won't be so hard on their systems. |

| I'm glad to hear she's doing better! My pup had severe coccidia when I first got him and we kept him on albon for what seemed like forever. He almost died on us a couple of times because of that in combination with his hypoglycemia, but he pulled through! We were force feeding him because he wouldn't eat on his own, and we took a lot of steps to make sure he stayed with us. I hope your pups continue on their way to recovery. |
