| We're new :-) Hi, I'm Karen. I'm a student currently and have 1 Yorkie, named Missie Mae. I purchased Missie from a pet store when I was young and dumb, but she is the light of my life and my baby. She turns 8 years old on February 7th, and I wish we were going backwards with birthdays because I don't ever want to lose her! She's had her share of health problems (anyone looking to buy a Yorkie, ask me why you should always rescue or find a RESPONSIBLE, ethical breeder!), and the last 6 months have been the worst. Fortunately she's doing well right now. She has 2 kitty friends that may play with her if they're in the mood, 4 rats that taunt her with their antics (she is a Terrier after all!), and one Chihuahua mix brother who we're fostering. His name is Oliver (Ollie) and he's 2. We're caring for him for a family that plans to take him back this Summer, so I'm hoping Ollie and Missie get on ok without each other, as they do get along well most of the time. Missie will also have a new brother or sister, a retired racing Greyhound, sometime soon. I am a huge advocate of spaying and nuetering, as well as adoption. Seeing the results of Missie's poor breeding solidified those beliefs in me! Without further ado... Pictures!

| Welcome, come right on in and set a spell. My Tinkerbelle is a rescue baby. She's a 4 mo. old Yorkiepoo. So not technically a Yorkie I guess, but we get treated pretty well here. When it's time for a playmate for us, we'll probably get another rescue Yorkie. People here are great and offer lots of info and good times! |
