I had him cut back short for the summer, but his coat is now growing in so nicely. I just took these last night (Jan 4th). He is now 1 yr 7 mos old.

He is a strawberry blonde! Beautiful! He reminds me of Molly she is almost a platinum blonde now. She is almost 3 years and her coat is always changing. Now it is a grey at the roots.

He is absolutely beautiful. I love his coloring and his coat looks so healthy.
Was he black and tan as a pup? Buddy seems to be changing to almost that color and he will be 3yrs this month.

Thank you everyone for your comments on Maverick. He was not born black and tan. He was born solid red with white markings. He came as a total shock along with a red female (Mercedes) and 2 standard pups. He will never have a black or silver hair. He is more red with blonde highlights and his sister Mercedes is more blonde with red low lights. I'll attach a few pictures of his sister Mercedes. I'll also show you what they looked like as babies...

Wow, two! I love their coloring. It is interesting that two out of the litter were red. They look cute cuddled with their dark siblings.
