| Yeah Archie, THAT was the day I found out that Yorkies CAN come in different colors. Both parents AKC standard color. First I was shocked, then I was thrilled. Very VERY healthy too. Gotta love that! |

| Aw, I know that "frenzied" feeling (and that is so sweet). It is a rare occurrence for them to pop up in a litter. The Dandi Dinmont Terrier is part of the Yorkshire Terrier ingredients. Here is a picture of the "mustard" colored Dandi (which MUST be where the coloring comes from)... Last edited by Julz; 01-05-2007 at 11:31 AM. |

| Julz - I just love the coloring on both Maverick and Mercedes. Sissy is about the same red color as Maverick everywhere but her back, which is a combination of black and silver with lots of the reddish color mixing in. Her black continues to fade and she seems to get more and more reddish on her back, but I don't think she will be that color completely!!! Your babies are just so beautiful!!!

| Thank you!! He eats Flint River Ranch and I have recently switched to bathing him with WAGS Natural Wheatgrass Shampoo from Petsmart. Red would describe Maverick best, he was definetly red when born. Some people think red and chocolate are the same, but once you actually see the red you know there is a difference. Here are a few more puppy pictures to show the coloring. There was a time as puppies that I didn't think they would turn out so silky. I'm sure glad they did. |

| I never get tired of seeing Maverick and Mercedes! Are you planning on breeding either of them? Makes you wonder if you could replicate the coloring, but it seems like it was just one of those random genetic occurences.hmmmmm....too bad you can't clone them...seems you would have lots of interested buyers!
