| Hi, new member here! I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a new Yorkie owner, got my baby about three months ago, and I'm so hooked on this breed! I bought her from a breeder after reading up on a lot of things about them. The breeder told me she was 7 weeks, (yes, I DID read where they weren't supposed to leave til 12 weeks), got her home and according to the papers, she was only 6 weeks old! Too late, I'm already in love with my baby. I spent the first night holding her, and she was so good! House breaking came next, she's paper trained and outside trained, accomplished by the time she was 4 months old. I have to say I was warned alot about not getting a small dog, they're yapping, hyper, hard to train, etc., etc. I'm sure ya'll have heard it all. Well, I've got to say, she's none of the above. I have been around enough small pups to know she's exceptionally good! I just had a bad scare with her last week, she contracted HGE , and I had to leave her at the vet's for 5 days! I was so scared, but thank goodness I noticed the warning signs early. She's completely recovered and back home with me now. I'm probably not going to post too much for the time being, I'm gonna lurk and learn what I can. Thanks for letting me ramble! Donna, Huntsville, TX |
