| Brooke, Great idea on the play yard and we just talked about this - I just sold my one that i had for a BABY on ebay dang it! Anyway, we talked about getting or making another - how big of an area would you say yours is? Currently we take him to the EXACT same spot to go every time but I never had a doggie that I had to carry outside (I always had big dogs) and put down and I do now. When he starts to have an accident I do exactly what you said, I say no no no no and I also clap my hands at the same time. Then i take him out and if he goes I give the praises and kisses, etc. I like the idea of the play yard though with the little step up! I'm printing it for hubby. Thanks for taking the time! How does one go about getting anal glands expressed- the vet I assume? |

| The play yard I got is from toys R us and is plastic... about the size of a play pen... It comes put together except for the last link.. you pop it inplace. I have mine in the shape of an octigone but you can make it rectangle if you like... you can also add on to make it bigger. I felt it was big enough the way it was. It was about 69.00 but it was the best money ever spent!!! I also hung a tarp over it so he doesn't get wet when it rains! My hubby is gonna build a roof over it... he's a builder. Let me know if you try this i would love to know how it works out for you!!!

| Another Question Does anyone know why does my puppy always get poo stuck to his butt? Is it because of the needing the anal glands expressed thing? |

| My little guy is around 11 weeks old. I just LOVE having a small dog and it's something I wish I would have done for myself a LONG LONG time ago. Having him want to be near me all the time and sleep at my feet while I'm working or sleep in my lap is just priceless. In a way he's almost better than a child because my kids all get big and grow out of the snuggles... my doggie never will! |
