| Good day for Mocha Hi everyone, I am happy with Mocha.. The last couple of days her Potty training has been going great. about 50% of the time she pees on her pee-pad and poos on her paper.. Today she peed 2 times on the pad and pooped once on the paper i have in my dining room.. I let her run around my apartment and then I heard her on the paper so I quietly walked over and saw her squating.. so far no accidents today!! I hope that it stays this way.. As for her biting it bad.. REALLY bad.. She chewed right through my USB cord for my digital camera so I can't post pics until I get a new one and she also chewed through my phone cord so now i can't use my phone.. Its driving me crazy.. She is getting the potty down and she knows how to sit but her biting is bad... My friend said to use IcyHot on things I don't want her to chew.. Has ayone ever heard of this? It doesn't sound safe btu she did it with her Maltese.. I am using a spray bottle (as some of you recoomended) but she seems to enjoy getting sprayed with water

| NO WAY, should you use Icy Hot. Icy Hot is a med. and like all meds to much of any will hurt you, let alone all the other ingredients.

| OH NO!!! Please do NOT use Ice Hot. Use Apple Bitter spray from the pet store. I cannot imagine being given such harmful advise...WOW, not good. Yeah on the potty progress, good news!!

| I talked to my friend again and she said her vet recommended it to her but i was like "NO WAY" will I use it on Mocha.. I am glad I got some other opinions... Where can I purchase some bitter Apple spray and will it ruin things I spray it on.. I am really concerned about electrical wires... Like i said she's chewed up my USB cord from my camera and my phone wire so I have no telephone now.. Thanks for the advice

| Personally my dogs LOVE that bitter apple stuff so it doesn't work. I have heard on another board to use either deoderant stick on things you don't want to be chewed on. They have one like that at the petstore i think called Keep away or something, it has the same ingredients as deoderant. or also use hairspray? but not so much.. mind you this is what i've heard, haven't used it myself.. just a thought. |

| I have heard about the deodorant thing to. Never tried it, but have used the bitter apple be for. My little yorkie terrorist "Rudy" chewed my Chi Iron cord I had for a month. I paid $100 dollars for it. Was lucky it didn't electrocute him, I can asways get onother iron, but never another yorkie like Rudy

| Do not use Ice hot , wow, Bad advise in my opinion. I did use the bitter apple and it didnt work she still chewed on my furniture. I can say that she had finally stop chewing on my furniture. Thank god she never chew on the electric wires. I gues if u see her chewing keep saying No, and give her toy to chew instead. Also Congrats on her Potty training.!! |

| Also try an empty bottle water with some pennies it - shake it when she does something you don't want and say NO! Maybe try putting a towel down on top of the wires near your computer so she can't get to them. Of course she could always pull the towel up in time, but it might deter her for at least a little while! Or spray the bitter apple on top of the towel instead of the wires so it doesn't mess up the wires.
